Madhya Pradesh Labour Department is running Mukhya Mantri Shramik Seva Prasuti Sahayata Yojana for pregnant women who are registered as unorganised workers in the state. Eligible women get ₹16,000 in two parts, ₹4,000 during pregnancy and ₹12,000 after delivery in a government hospital.

Scheme started on 1 April 2018 and it is still running in 2026. Money reaches the woman's bank account through DBT payment, and the benefit is limited to the first two live births. No online form is available till now, so the application has to be given at the health office of your block or district.

Mukhya Mantri Shramik Seva Prasuti Sahayata Yojana Details

Labour Department of Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme along with the health department, and the payment is linked with health checks and the delivery record of the mother. Women above 18 years of age who hold a valid unorganised worker registration can apply for it. The idea is simple. If a poor working woman gets some money during pregnancy, she can take rest, eat better food and go for a safe hospital delivery instead of a home delivery.

Benefit is not given in one go. First part comes after four prenatal check-ups are done, and the second part comes after institutional delivery with early breastfeeding and the newborn's first vaccine doses. This condition-based payment keeps mother and baby in the health system for the full period.

Who Can Apply

Rules for this scheme are short and clear. Before filling the form, check these points once.

  • Woman should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh and pregnant at the time of applying, with age 18 years or above on the date of the application.
  • She must hold a valid registration as an unorganised worker with the labour department, or be the wife of a registered worker as per the board rules.
  • Delivery has to be planned in a government hospital, because private hospital delivery is not covered under this scheme.
  • Benefit is given for the first two live births only, so a third delivery does not get any payment.

Documents Required

Keep self-attested copies of the papers below ready with the form, and carry the original papers for checking.

  • Aadhaar card of the woman as identity proof, along with one passport size photo.
  • Unorganised worker registration card or labour card copy.
  • Address proof such as voter ID, ration card or an electricity bill.
  • Bank passbook copy with the account in the woman's own name, since payment comes by DBT payment.
  • Age proof like school certificate or birth certificate, and the MCP card with check-up and vaccination records.

How to Apply

No online form is live for this scheme in 2026, so the whole process is offline through the health office. Steps are given below.

STEP 1 - Go to the office of the Block Medical Officer if you live in a rural area, or the Civil Surgeon office of the district hospital if you live in a city area, during working hours.

STEP 2 - Ask for the application form of Mukhya Mantri Shramik Seva Prasuti Sahayata Yojana at the counter. The ANM or the Anganwadi worker of your area can also give the form and help in filling it.

STEP 3 - Fill the form with your name, husband's name, address, labour registration number, expected delivery date and bank account details. Paste the photo in the given box and check the account number twice, because a wrong number delays the payment.

STEP 4 - Attach the self-attested document copies with the form and submit it at the same office.

STEP 5 - Take the receipt of submission and keep it safe. The first payment of ₹4,000 is released after the check-up record is verified, and the second payment of ₹12,000 comes after the hospital delivery and vaccination entry.

Payment Not Received, What to Do

Sometimes the payment gets stuck because the bank account is not linked with Aadhaar or the delivery record is not entered by the hospital. In such a case, first meet the ANM or the Block Medical Officer with your receipt and MCP card. If the matter is not settled there, the district labour office handles complaint help for worker schemes. Labour department help number 0755-2555385 and the Sambal helpline 0755-2700800 can also be used for asking about the status.

Other Madhya Pradesh Worker Schemes

Registered workers in Madhya Pradesh get some more benefits along with this maternity support. You can read about the Cycle Anudaan Yojana which gives ₹4,000 for buying a cycle, and the Antim Sanskar Yojana which gives ₹6,000 for funeral support to worker families. Hindi details of this maternity scheme with the form are also given in the Shramik Seva Prasuti Sahayata Yojana article.
