Madhya Pradesh government's Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana is paying eligible women ₹1,500 every month straight into their bank accounts through DBT. The scheme, which started in 2023 with a ₹1,000 monthly amount, has since been raised twice and now covers more than 1.25 crore women across the state. This article explains the current benefit amount, who can apply, the documents needed, and how the application process works.

Ladli Behna Yojana was first announced on 28 January 2023 during Narmada Jayanti celebrations in Narmadapuram district, and the first installment was released on 10 June 2023. Since then the monthly amount has gone up from ₹1,000 to ₹1,250 in October 2023, and later to the current ₹1,500 per month. The scheme is now run under Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, and the 39th installment was released on 19 August 2026 along with a ₹250 Raksha Bandhan bonus. The 40th installment was released on 13 September 2026 from Agar Malwa, and the 41st installment of ₹1,500 was released on 14 October 2026 from Guruvahi village in Umaria district.

Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana (मुख्यमंत्री लाडली बहना योजना)

Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana is a women's welfare scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government. Its main aim is to improve the health, nutrition and financial independence of married women from poor and middle income families. The monthly cash support is paid through DBT to the woman's own Aadhaar-linked bank account, so the money reaches her directly without any middleman.

As per the official portal, the scheme has received over 1.31 crore applications so far, of which more than 1.25 crore women have been found eligible. This makes it one of the largest state-run direct benefit transfer programs for women in India. The official website for the scheme is cmladlibahna.mp.gov.in, where applicants can check their application and payment status.

Ladli Behna Yojana Benefit Amount

Every eligible woman gets ₹1,500 per month under the scheme. The amount started at ₹1,000 per month when the scheme was launched, was raised to ₹1,250 from October 2023, and later increased to the current ₹1,500 per month. Women who already get a social security pension of less than ₹1,500 per month are still eligible, and the scheme pays the difference to bring their total monthly support up to ₹1,500.

The 39th installment was released on 19 August 2026 by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav from Maihar. Along with the regular ₹1,500, a ₹250 Raksha Bandhan bonus was added, taking the total credited amount to ₹1,750 for that cycle. The previous 38th installment was released on 12 July 2026. The 40th installment was released on 13 September 2026 from Agar Malwa, with ₹1,835 crore transferred to over 1.25 crore women. The 41st installment of ₹1,500 was released on 14 October 2026 from Guruvahi village in Umaria district, with the money sent to over 1.25 crore women.
