Annapurna Yojana in West Bengal has paid three monthly installments so far, and the September payment of ₹3,000 is being credited to about 1.58 crore verified women from 17 September 2026. First installment reached 28,25,769 women on 3 June 2026, the second started on 1 July 2026 and the third was paid between 17 and 20 August 2026. The state government has not released the official Annapurna Yojana beneficiary list but there is still a way to check your name in the beneficiary list.
West Bengal government notified the scheme on 19 May 2026 through the Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare (Notification No. 2411-WCD/O/AB-4/2026). Forms opened on 27 May 2026 and the application window closed on 31 July 2026 with around 2.16 crore applications. Money started reaching accounts from 3 June 2026 for verified Annapurna Yojana women, many of whom came across from the older Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme.
Annapurna Yojana Beneficiary List 2026 - Current Status
Earlier, West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Agarwal said at the launch that the government will put the full list of Annapurna Yojana women on the department website so anyone can see who is on it. But, the list has not been made public (Individuals can not access the list) yet on the official portal of the scheme. However, approved list of beneficiaries can be checked by block and gram panchayat on the official portal and anyone can visit their respective block or GP office to check if their application is approved and name is included in the list or not. You can also request Annapurna Bhandar name list PDF of your particular area from your panchayat or municipality office.
Main portal of the scheme where departments can login is socialregistry.wb.gov.in, however the Annapurna Yojana portal login option for individual applicants is working again, so women can log in at socialregistry.wb.gov.in/citizen with their district, registered mobile number and OTP to see their status. The beneficiary list is refreshed every seven days as more forms clear checking, so a missing name today can show up next week.
Around 1.6 crore people have filled the application form of the scheme. Of these, about 26 lakh were rejected after the July payment, most of them over citizenship questions or names deleted during SIR checking. Separately, around 30 lakh old records were pulled out of the Lakshmir Bhandar database as dead, shifted, duplicate, deleted from the rolls, or flagged over citizenship. About 17 lakh applications were rejected in later verification, mostly over Aadhaar problems. Rejected forms are being checked again, and officials are visiting homes or calling applicants to match what people wrote on their forms.
At the launch, Nadia district had the most names at around 2.60 lakh, followed by Murshidabad and West Midnapore. Government expects the final count to reach close to 2 crore women once all forms are checked. Money for this comes from the ₹36,000 crore set aside in the West Bengal Budget 2026-27.
How to Check Your Name in Annapurna Yojana List
Easiest way to know if your name is present in the list is to check your Annapurna Yojana application status on the official portal. Keep your application ID and Aadhaar card next to you, and use the same mobile number you gave on the form. Here is how it works.
STEP 1 - Open your browser and go to the West Bengal social security portal at socialsecurity.wb.gov.in.
STEP 2 - Click on the "Track Applicant Status" option on the homepage as shown in below image.

*If Track Applicant Status does not open, use Applicant Login at socialregistry.wb.gov.in/citizen with your district, registered mobile number and OTP. Your status shows on the dashboard after login.
STEP 3 - Type your name as written on the form, your application ID, your Aadhaar number and your registered mobile number in the boxes shown. Any of these can be used to check your record, so fill what you have.
STEP 4 - An OTP will come to that mobile number. Put in the OTP, finish the captcha if it asks for one, and click Search.
STEP 5 - Your status shows up on the screen. If it reads Payment Processing or Approved, your name is in the Annapurna Yojana beneficiary list and ₹3,000 will land in your Aadhaar linked bank account. Anything else means your form is still moving through the checking chain.

Who Will Get ₹3,000 in September 2026
CM Suvendu Adhikari announced on 7 September that the September installment will be credited from 17 September 2026, which the state will observe as Annapurna Divas. Only women who meet every condition and whose documents are fully checked will get this payment. If your status is still stuck at Rejected after re-checking, no money will come for September.
One point officials keep repeating is that the door to door check has to finish before money is transferred into beneficiaries accounts. Till an Anganwadi worker or block officer has matched your papers with your form, the payment stays on hold even if you look eligible on paper.
Since 20 August, rejected women can see the reason on the portal, fix the problem and submit the form again. Resubmitted forms are checked again at the District Magistrate office, and if found valid, the name is added to the beneficiary list.
What Your Application Status Means
The official portal may show one of four statuses, and each one means something different for your money. Reading it right saves you a trip to the block office.
- Under Inquiry - Your documents are still being checked. An Anganwadi worker or block officer may visit your home to match the details you wrote.
- Under Processing - Checking is done and the file has moved ahead in the office chain. No action needed from your side.
- Payment Processing - Your form is approved and ₹3,000 will be sent to your bank account. This is the status you want to see.
- Rejected - Something is wrong with your papers or you do not meet a condition. No payment will be made until this is sorted out at the block office.
If Your Name Came Up in SIR Checking
Citizenship related deletion has turned out to be the single biggest reason behind the 26 lakh rejections. Most of these were forms where the name had been struck off during SIR checking and nothing was on record to explain it.
Government has said that a woman who has filed an application under the Citizenship Amendment Act, or whose appeal is pending before the SIR tribunal, will keep getting her monthly ₹3,000 till the case is settled. So a pending case by itself does not stop your payment. If your money has stopped and you have such an application or appeal running, carry a copy of the receipt or acknowledgement to your block office and get it put on your file.
How to Raise an Objection or Complaint About the List
One of the main reasons the government is putting the list online is so people can flag mistakes. Anyone can complain if they spot a person who should not be on the list. In the same way, a woman who is eligible but missing can put up her case. In both situations the government runs an inquiry and acts on it.
To make this simple, the government runs a public information drive called Apnar Sorkar Apnar Pashe along with a help number and an email. Janakalyan Shibir camps will be held again across the state in November and December 2026, where staff help with new applications, status checks and Aadhaar to bank account linking.
You can call 8282082820 between 9 AM and 6 PM from Monday to Saturday, or send an email to asap@wb.gov.in to lodge your complaint.
How the Beneficiary Checking Works
To keep ineligible women out, the government has made a multi step check by officials compulsory. Every approval is looked at more than once before a name is locked into the final list.
STEP 1 - The woman fills the 12 page form, either online or offline at the BDO, SDO, DM, borough or municipality office.
STEP 2 - Extension officers at the block level check the details first. Anganwadi workers visit homes to match papers with what was written on the form. After this, the Block Development Officers check the same details once more.
STEP 3 - Officials who do the checking have to sign off after their approval, and the final go ahead comes from the District Magistrate before the name goes into the beneficiary list.
Who Gets Added to Annapurna Yojana List Without Applying
Not everyone has to apply. Existing Lakshmir Bhandar Scheme women who pass checking are moved to Annapurna Yojana and are already in the list without doing anything extra. That said, lakhs of wrong names were found in the old database, which is why fresh forms were brought in. Women in these groups will not be moved over on their own.
- Women who have died - Names still sitting in the old Lakshmir Bhandar database after the person passed away have been taken off.
- Women who have shifted - Those who moved out of West Bengal or changed address without updating records are left out of the automatic move.
- Deleted or absent electors - Names removed from the electoral rolls or found absent during SIR checking are not carried forward.
- Women who do not qualify - Government employees, income tax payers and duplicate entries are dropped. Around 30 lakh records have been removed so far on these grounds.
Eligibility to Be Included in Annapurna Yojana Beneficiary List
Before you go looking for your name, confirm you meet all the basic eligibility criteria of the scheme.
- Permanent resident of West Bengal - You must be a bonafide resident of the state, proven by an Aadhaar card or Voter ID registered here.
- Age between 25 and 60 years - Age is counted on the date of applying. Women above 60 can check the Old Age Pension Scheme instead.
- Not a government employee or pensioner - State or central government staff, pensioners, and staff of government aided schools and colleges are out. This applies to family members drawing a regular salary or pension too.
- Not an income tax payer - Women who file income tax returns are not covered.
- Aadhaar linked bank account - Your bank account must be seeded with Aadhaar, otherwise the DBT payment will bounce even if your name is approved.
- Not drawing widow pension - Annapurna Yojana cannot be drawn together with the state widow pension, as per a Women and Child Development department directive of 22 September 2026. Women on both lists had to submit a written choice of one benefit, and officials uploaded the choices to the portal by 29 September 2026. Annapurna can still be drawn with a disability pension or Krishak Bandhu.
Forms submitted with a fake caste certificate or a fake disability certificate are cancelled straight away, and there is no second look at those.
What to Do If Your Name Is Not in Annapurna Yojana List
If your status shows Rejected or your name is missing even after a fresh update, do not panic. First check the age limit, the residency condition, and whether anyone in the house is a government employee or tax payer. Many rejections in July were plain document problems, not real eligibility failures.
Payments also fail for a reason that has nothing to do with the list. If your Aadhaar is not seeded with your bank account, if the name on the bank record does not match your Aadhaar, if you gave a joint account instead of your own, or if the same mobile number was used for several forms, the money will not reach you. Go to your bank branch and confirm your DBT seeding is active.
If you think you are eligible but were left out, call 8282082820, email asap@wb.gov.in, or walk into your nearest Block Development Office or Sub Divisional Office. Carry your Aadhaar card, Voter ID, bank passbook and ration card. Since the list is refreshed every seven days, check again after a week before giving up. Seva Setu Abhiyan camps are being held across West Bengal from 2 to 4 October 2026, where Annapurna Yojana application status can be checked and help with forms is available at block and municipality level. If you have not applied at all, the online window closed on 31 July 2026, so submit your form at the Jan Kalyan camps planned for November and December 2026.
Documents Needed for Annapurna Yojana Application
If you have not applied yet and want your name in the Annapurna Yojana beneficiary list, apply through the Annapurna Bhandar Scheme Application Form and submit it at the Jan Kalyan camps planned for November and December 2026, since the earlier window closed on 31 July 2026. Keep these papers ready before you start.
You will need your Aadhaar card as the main identity paper, a Voter ID for address and residency proof, a bank passbook showing the Aadhaar seeded account, and a ration card. A passport size photo may also be asked for at the BDO or SDO office. One warning worth repeating, there is no fee for this scheme. Anyone asking for money to fill your form, promising instant registration on some other website, or asking for your Aadhaar OTP over a phone call is cheating you.
FAQ's
When will the next Annapurna Yojana installment come?
September payment of ₹3,000 will be credited to verified women from 17 September 2026, as announced by CM Suvendu Adhikari.
How often is the Annapurna Yojana List updated?
Every seven days. As more forms clear checking, new names are added. So a missing name now can still turn up in a later weekly update, especially while rejected forms are being checked again.
Can I check the Annapurna Yojana list for my gram panchayat?
Yes. The government has opened a separate section where approved names can be seen block wise and gram panchayat wise. Printed lists are also put up at panchayat and municipality offices, so you can check there if the site is slow.
Why was my name removed from the list?
Around 30 lakh records were taken out as dead, shifted, duplicate, deleted from the electoral rolls, or flagged over citizenship. Another 26 lakh forms were rejected for document or eligibility problems, most of them citizenship related. If you think this was a mistake, raise it on 8282082820 or at your block office.
My CAA application is pending. Will I still get the money?
Yes. Women with a pending application under the Citizenship Amendment Act, or an appeal pending before the SIR tribunal, keep getting the monthly ₹3,000 till the case is settled. Keep the receipt safe and show it at your block office if the payment stops.
My name is in the list but no money came. Why?
This is almost always a bank problem, not a list problem. DBT fails if your Aadhaar is not seeded with your account, if your bank name does not match your Aadhaar name, if you gave a joint account, or if the account is dormant. Visit your branch and get the seeding confirmed.
Do Lakshmir Bhandar women need to reapply?
Existing Lakshmir Bhandar women who were checked and found eligible are moved over on their own. Log in to the portal to confirm your status. If it shows Rejected, fix the reason shown and submit the form again.
What is the last date to apply for Annapurna Yojana?
Application window closed on 31 July 2026. Women who never applied can submit forms at the Jan Kalyan camps planned for November and December 2026, while rejected women can fix and resubmit their form on the portal.
