Bihar Awas Yojana List 2026: Awas Plus 2024 Gram Sabha List, Landless & Migrated Beneficiaries PDF

Bihar panchayats are holding special gram sabhas this week on the Awas Plus 2024 survey list under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin. Each panchayat reads out its draft list, the gram sabha approves it, and the approved list has to reach the block office by 30 September 2026.

Families missed in the 2018 Awas Plus list were surveyed again in 2024. This new priority list decides who gets ₹1.20 lakh for a pucca house in the next round. On 20 August 2026, the Centre approved 11,18,937 more PMAY-G houses for Bihar.

Bihar Awas Plus 2024 list: gram sabha approval and final list

Block offices have issued panchayat-wise rosters for these meetings. Many gram sabhas met on Sunday, 27 September, on Panchayat Vikas Diwas. In Chhatapur block of Supaul, draft lists covering 8,523 families across five panchayats went through social audit that day, and Saudh Dakshini panchayat in Khagaria approved 1,159 names.

At the meeting, the rural housing assistant (awas sahayak) reads the draft list aloud. Villagers can object if an ineligible family is on it or an eligible one is missing, and left-out names are re-checked. Once approved, every page is signed, stamped and uploaded to the Gram Sabha Proceeding Module on AwaasSoft. Block orders in Kishanganj put the final list date at 31 October 2026, and the district appellate committee is giving final shape to the approved list. After that, the 2026-27 central target will be allocated district, block and panchayat wise. As per the state update of 6 October 2026, 8,012 gram panchayats have approved the list and 37 are still in process. Bihar has completed 42,83,611 houses under PMAY-G so far. On 12 October 2026, Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar ordered a block level re-verification of the Awas Plus 2024 survey list and said eligible families left out of the scheme should be added to it.

A family is dropped if it already has a pucca house, or if any member is a government employee, pays income tax or earns more than ₹15,000 a month. Families living in a kutcha or broken house pass the first check.

How to check your name in Bihar Awas Yojana list online

A copy of the draft list stays with the gram panchayat, so the mukhiya or awas sahayak can confirm your name. Online, the village-wise PMAY-G list opens on the report portal:

STEP 1 - Go to pmayg.dord.gov.in and click Awaassoft, then Report. This opens report.pmayg.dord.gov.in.

STEP 2 - Under Social Audit Reports, click "Beneficiary details for verification".

STEP 3 - Select Bihar, then your district, block and gram panchayat. Pick the financial year and PMAY-G as the scheme, fill the captcha and click Submit.

STEP 4 - Your village list opens with name, father's or husband's name, registration number and sanction status. Use the Excel or PDF button at the top right to download it.

Bihar Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana

Bihar government runs its own Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY) for families who got a house under Indira Awas Yojana or another scheme before 1996 and now live in a broken house. These families, mostly SC, ST and OBC, get ₹1.20 lakh to rebuild. Former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched it by sending the first amount to 200 families, and the Rural Development Department pays it straight into the bank account.

Which Bihar housing scheme fits your family

Own land but a kutcha house? PMAY-G gives ₹1.20 lakh, if your name is on the Awas Plus list. Families who got a government house before 1996 and need to rebuild come under MGAY instead.

Families with no land first take ₹1 lakh under Mukhyamantri Grihsthal Kray Sahayata Yojana to buy a plot. After that they become eligible for a house under PMAY-G or MGAY.

FAQ's

What if my name is missing from the Awas Plus list?

Raise it at the gram sabha, or give a written objection to the panchayat secretary or the BDO. Left-out names are checked again before the final list goes out.

How much money does PMAY-G give in Bihar?

₹1.20 lakh in three instalments in plain areas and ₹1.30 lakh in hilly and IAP districts. On top of this, families get 90 to 95 days of MGNREGA wages and ₹12,000 for a toilet under Swachh Bharat Mission.

Is PMAY-G still running in 2026?

Yes. PMAY-G 2.0 runs from 2024-25 to 2028-29, and new names come from the Awas Plus 2024 survey. The official portal is pmayg.dord.gov.in.
