Central Government has now allowed online applications for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana from urban poor through common service centers across the country. The online applications for PMAY Urban are currently invited through 60000 CSC’s in urban areas in the country.
The scheme aims to provide housing for all urban poor by the year 2022. In the recent 50th meeting of Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC), the total tally of houses under PMAY Urban housing has reached to over 1 crore.
Below is the complete procedure to check your PMAY application / assessment status on the official website of PM Awas Yojana – Urban.
Tracking Application Status of PMAY
When applying for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana online through pmaymis.gov.in or Common Service Centers, an acknowledgement receipt along with your photograph and an application number on it is provided to you. The application number mentioned on the acknowledgement receipt can be used to check the status of your application. To check the status of your PMAY online application, you need to visit the official website at pmaymis.gov.in and enter your application number:-

- Upon clicking at the link, the page to track PMAY assessment / application form will appear. Here candidates will get 2 choices to either track by application no. or by entering other personal details.
- Here hit at “By Assessment ID” button to open the PMAY application status tracking page as shown below:-
- Here enter your assessment ID and mobile no. and click on “Submit” option. Now assessment status will appear on the screen and you can view your status.
If you don’t know your application number or misplaced the acknowledgement receipt then you can also track status using the name of applicant, father name of applicant and ID type.

Online applications for PMAY are being invited through CSCs to ease the whole process of PMAY applications and increase the reach of the scheme. This is also a part of Digital India initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
