STEP 1 - Visit the official website rteportal.mp.gov.in or educationportal.mp.gov.in, which is the RTE portal for Madhya Pradesh.
STEP 2 - On the homepage, click the "MP State RTE Portal" tab as shown below, or go directly to rteportal.mp.gov.in.
STEP 3 - Here candidates see the homepage where the RTE Madhya Pradesh Admission apply process and schedule are listed.
STEP 4 - Next, click the "आवेदन पंजीयन" link under the "आवेदन प्रक्रिया" section to start registration.

- जो प्रवेशार्थी पहले से ही आरटीई के तहत किसी प्राइवेट स्कूल में निःशुल्क पढ़ाई कर रहा है, वह नए सत्र के लिए दोबारा आवेदन के लिए पात्र नहीं है।
- हर कक्षा के लिए न्यूनतम आयु सीमा पोर्टल पर तय दिनांक के अनुसार अलग-अलग रहती है, इसलिए आवेदन से पहले पोर्टल पर दी गई सूचना जरूर देखें।

RTE Admission 2026-27 MP Online - Eligibility
Applicants need to meet a few conditions to qualify for MP RTE Admission 2026-27.
- Category eligibility - the applicant must belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, a minority community, be an orphan, or a child affected by HIV or cancer, or belong to an economically weaker section as defined by the state.
- Residency - only applicants who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh can apply under this quota.
- Age limit - age for pre-primary classes is counted as on 31 July 2026, and for Class 1 it is counted as on 30 September 2026. Class wise age limits are listed on rteportal.mp.gov.in.
- Income limit - family income should fall within the limit set for the EWS category, generally supported through a BPL certificate or ration card.
