On 26th January 2025, Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr. Revanth Reddy, announced that payment under the Rythu Bharosa scheme has been successfully released to 70 lakh farmers. Each of these farmers will receive ₹6000 deposited directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefits Transfer (DBT) system. The process of depositing the amount into farmers’ accounts is set to begin on 27th January 2025.

On the launch date, 26th January 2025, a total of ₹20,000 crore will be disbursed to these farmers. The Rythu Bharosa scheme has evolved from previous government initiatives, where earlier amounts were lower. The current government has increased the assistance to ₹12,000 per acre, which is significantly beneficial for farmers battling financial difficulties.
