Eligibility Criteria
Families who are houseless or living in kutcha houses can apply if they fall under any of the following categories:
- Forest Right Act, 2006 beneficiaries.
- Households where the main earning member is a person with disability of at least 40 percent.
- Poor families who are eligible but left out from any ongoing government rural housing scheme.
Households that earlier got support but still need help due to natural or man-made calamities, river or sea inundation, or relocation caused by government projects may also qualify. This includes families shifted for highways, irrigation projects, or those staying in sanctuary and reserve forest areas.

Incentive for early completion
Odisha government has revised the incentive for finishing the house on time. A beneficiary who completes construction within 5 months of getting the first installment now gets ₹35,000. Finish within 7 months and the reward is ₹20,000.
