Tamil Nadu government runs the TN Private Job Portal at www.tnprivatejobs.tn.gov.in to connect job seeking youth with private companies across the state. The portal was launched on 17 June 2020 by the then Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and continues to work as a free bridge between job seekers and private employers, especially MSME units.

As of August 2026, the portal shows more than 17,500 live vacancies from around 397 employers spread across sectors such as automotive, BFSI, IT-ITES, healthcare, electronics and hardware, food processing and logistics. Job seekers can register online and apply for private sector openings free of cost.

Through this portal, youth who wish to work in the private sector can register their details such as education qualification, experience and skills. Companies, including MSME units, can upload their vacancies and recruit suitable candidates. The portal also lists job fairs conducted in different districts so that the right employer meets the right employee.

According to the latest statistics shared on the portal, from June 2021 to December 2025, more than 371 mega job fairs and over 2,049 micro job fairs were conducted. In these job fairs, lakhs of job seekers attended and more than 2.98 lakh people were placed overall.

The Tamil Nadu government has also released a mobile application for the portal so that candidates can search and apply for jobs easily from their phones.

TN Jobseeker Registration / Application Form

Below is the complete process to fill the job seeker registration / application form at the TN Private Job Portal:

STEP 1 - Firstly visit the official Tamil Nadu Private Job Portal at https://www.tnprivatejobs.tn.gov.in/

STEP 2 - At the homepage, click on the "Candidate Login" tab present in the main menu as shown below:

STEP 3 - Upon clicking the tab, the new Candidate Login page will appear as shown below:

STEP 4 - Here applicants can click on the "To create new account Click Here" link to open the TN Private Jobs online registration form:

STEP 5 - Here candidates can enter their name, father's name, e-mail ID, mobile number and password, then click on the "Register" button to complete the online registration process. Validate the OTP sent on the registered mobile number and click on "Submit".

STEP 6 - Afterwards, log in using the e-mail ID / mobile number and password to open the tnprivatejobs.tn.gov.in online application form:

STEP 7 - Fill in all the necessary details, upload the image and resume (bio-data / CV), then submit to complete the TN private job portal apply online process.

This portal only acts as a platform for facilitating employment opportunities in private sector establishments. Vacancies in government departments / public sector undertakings are not notified on this portal. A similar process is required to be followed for the Employer Login.
