Delhi Driver Scheme Rs. 5000: Delhi government had launched Transport Corona Sahayata Yojana to give a one-time financial support of Rs. 5,000 to auto rickshaw, taxi, e-rickshaw and other para transit vehicle drivers. The registration for this Delhi Driver Yojana was done online through the transport department's website at transport.delhi.gov.in. Drivers filled the Delhi Driver Scheme online application form on the official portal before the last date to apply online.

Scheme has been closed or it was a one time scheme which has been closed by the government.

The Delhi Driver Scheme was a one time financial support for people holding a public service badge and a valid driving licence of para transit vehicles. This Transport Sahayata Yojana covered drivers of auto rickshaws, taxis, gramin seva, phatphat sewa, maxi cab, eco-friendly seva, e-rickshaws and school cabs. The money help to drivers was meant to let them lead a life of dignity and honour. The registration form filling process to apply online for Delhi Driver Scheme started on 5th May.

STEP 1: Firstly visit the Delhi Transport dept's official website at https://delhi.gov.in/

STEP 2: At the homepage, click at the "Applications for Financial Assistance of Rs. 5000 to PSV badge holders of Para-Transit Vehicles" link:

STEP 3: Then the Delhi Transport Dept's instructions page before filling registration / application form online appeared as shown below:-

STEP 4: Then click at the "Click here" link to open the Delhi Driver Scheme online registration form.

STEP 5: In the opened application form, fill in all the required details and upload the required documents as per the department.

STEP 6: Follow all the instructions as provided and complete the registration process.

After the application process and the checking process were done, the financial support was transferred to the bank accounts of the eligible people.

List of Documents to Apply Online for Delhi Driver Scheme

Below is the complete list of documents that were required to apply online for Delhi Driver Yojana. In addition to the registration form, drivers had to submit the required documents for the consideration and acceptance of their applications. Any application had to be filled by an individual holder of the PSV badge and valid DL of para transit public service vehicles through the online module. The following information was required to be submitted:-

1. Driving license number
2. PSV badge no.
3. Mobile number
4. Date of birth
5. Gender
6. Aadhaar number

Only after the submission of the completed application form along with these supporting documents, the apply online form was considered.

Eligibility for Delhi Driver Scheme

Read this section carefully to know who was eligible for the relief under Delhi Driver Yojana:-

• The eligible people of this scheme included all owners of public transit passenger vehicles viz. Auto Rikshaw, Gramin Sewa, Taxis, Maxicab, Phatphat Sewa, e-Rikshaws, School cabs, Eco-Friendly Sewa etc.
• All the applicant drivers had to hold their valid driver's licence and PSV Badge.
• The support amount of Rs. 5,000 was given to all the PSV Badge holders who had been issued these badges.

If the DL of any driver had expired on or after 1st May, they were also eligible and could apply for the benefit.

Delhi Auto / Taxi / Cab Driver Yojana Support of Rs. 5,000

To make sure that no person suffers from money problems, former CM Arvind Kejriwal had decided to provide Rs. 5,000 to all the drivers. This included owners of PSV badge holders as well as all valid DL holders.

All the drivers of auto rickshaws, taxis, phatphat sewa, e-rickshaws, maxi cab etc were covered. The amount of Rs. 5,000 was transferred to the aadhaar linked bank accounts of the eligible people through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) method. All the applicants did not have to visit in person at any govt. office to get the benefit. The application process was fully online. This was only a one time financial support scheme.

For the support of thousands of families of people who run auto, e-rickshaw, gramin seva, phatphat seva and taxi in Delhi, Rs. 5,000 per driver was given. From the next day, all drivers could submit their application on the transport department's website.
