West Bengal government is verifying every Annapurna Yojana application before paying the ₹3,000 monthly amount, and only women who completes and clear this verification will be included in the beneficiary list. The September installment of \u20b93,000 was credited to about 1.58 crore verified women from 17 September 2026.
Annapurna Yojana took the place of Lakshmir Bhandar from 1 June 2026. Around 2.16 crore applications were made before the window closed on 31 July, and about 17 lakh were rejected during verification, mostly because of Aadhaar problems. You can check your own verification status online with just your mobile number and an OTP.
How to check Annapurna Yojana verification status online
Verification status shows on the same Applicant Login page used for applying. Keep the phone with the mobile number you gave in the form, since the OTP goes only to that number.
STEP 1 - Open the official portal at socialregistry.wb.gov.in/citizen on your phone or computer.
STEP 2 - Pick your district in the "Select Your District" box.
STEP 3 - Type the 10 digit mobile number given in your application and fill in the captcha. Tap the refresh icon if the captcha is not clear.
STEP 4 - Click "Request OTP", enter the code sent to your phone and log in.
STEP 5 - Open "Application Status" on the dashboard. It shows where your verification stands and, if the form was rejected, the reason for it.
There is no application ID box on this login. If the OTP never comes, the number probably does not match your form, so visit your BDO or SDO office with Aadhaar and voter card. Full login screenshots are in the Annapurna Yojana portal login guide.
What each verification status means
Status names on the portal can be confusing. Here is what each one means and what you should do next.
- Approved means verification is done and your name is in the payment list for the next installment.
- Under Processing means officials have not finished checking your documents, so check again after a week.
- Under Inquiry means your form is being checked again, usually after a grievance or objection against an earlier rejection.
- Provisionally Rejected is not final, because every such form goes for a field check before a decision.
- Rejected means the form failed verification, and the reason now shows on the portal so you can fix it.
- Further Verification means the form is being checked again at the state level. Women with this status do not need to apply again, but they should raise a claim on the portal and track it with the claim ID.
- Bank Validation Failure means the bank account details did not match. Check the account number, name and IFSC with the bank and get the details corrected.
How field verification is done
Officials check provisionally rejected forms on the ground, and the state has told them to close each case within 7 days. Some women get a home visit. Others get a phone call from the block or municipality office.
Callers have asked whether the woman got Lakshmir Bhandar before, what work she does, her monthly income, what the head of the family does, whether the family owns a car and how many rooms the house has. Answer honestly. After the check, officials upload their report on the portal and the status changes to Approved or Rejected. No official will ask for your OTP, ATM PIN or bank password, so cut the call if anyone does.
Annapurna Yojana installment date for September 2026
CM Suvendu Adhikari announced at Nabanna on 7 September that the September installment of ₹3,000 will reach verified women from 17 September 2026. That day is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, and the state will mark it as Annapurna Divas.
First payment went to 28.25 lakh women on 3 June, the second started on 1 July and the August round was paid between 17 and 20 August. If your verification finishes after 17 September, you get the amount in a later round. Past dates are listed on the Annapurna Yojana installment date page.
Verification has been tightened for the October installment, and officials are doing door to door checks of applications and documents. The state has not announced an October date yet. On 3 October, CM Suvendu Adhikari said every eligible woman whose papers clear verification will get the money and no one will be left out.

Common reasons for failing verification
Most rejections come from a few problems. Some can be fixed at the bank. Others are fixed eligibility rules.
- Aadhaar is not seeded with the bank account, or the account is a joint one, so ask your bank to seed Aadhaar and turn on DBT for a single-holder account.
- Name, date of birth or Aadhaar number in the form does not match your documents.
- The woman or a family member pays income tax or holds a government job, and this rule has no fix.
- The woman earns more than ₹10,000 a month, or the family earns ₹12 lakh or more a year.
- Her name was deleted from the voter list during SIR 2026, although women with a pending CAA application or tribunal case keep getting the benefit until the case is decided.
How to reapply after rejection
Since 20 August, rejected women can fix the problem and submit the form again from the same portal login. Resubmitted forms and documents are checked again at the District Magistrate office. Sort out Aadhaar and bank seeding first, or the form will fail a second time.
Women who never applied cannot register on the portal right now. Seva Setu Abhiyan camps were held across West Bengal from 2 to 4 October 2026, where new applications and status checks for Annapurna Yojana were taken up. On 13 September, CM Suvendu Adhikari said Jan Kalyan camps will be held again in November and December 2026, and new applications for Annapurna Yojana will be taken there. You can keep the Annapurna Bhandar application form ready before the camps start.
