Helpline was set up to cover a wide range of support for women entrepreneurs, not just phone based query resolution. Main points are listed below.

Mission Shakti and Women Safety Helpline Numbers in UP

Mission Shakti has moved well beyond where it stood when this helpline was first announced. Uttar Pradesh government started Phase 5.0 of Mission Shakti on 22 September 2025, with a wider focus on women's safety, health, education and independence, not just crime response. For context, Mission Shakti campaign began on 17 October 2020 to offer protection and resources so women and children could become self reliant. Women's help desks were set up across 1,535 police stations in Uttar Pradesh at that time, and that number has since grown to over 1,600 stations under the newer phases.

On 12 February 2021, Uttar Pradesh Police had launched a separate helpline for women's safety and security named "Women Power Line - 1090", with the motto "Hamari Suraksha: Mobile Haanth Mei, 1090 Saath Mei". This line is still one of the main numbers women can call in case of harassment.

Apart from 1090, women across Uttar Pradesh can also use 1098 for child helpline, 1076 for CM helpline, 181 for women helpline, 112 for emergency response, and 102 for medical help. These numbers work round the clock and are not limited to any single district.
