Prasuti Sahayata Yojana is a Rajasthan government scheme that gives cash support to pregnant women from registered construction worker families. Under this scheme, a woman gets ₹ 20,000 for the birth of a son and ₹ 21,000 for the birth of a daughter, paid in three installments straight into her bank account. Applications continue to be accepted online in 2026 through the Labour Department Management System (LDMS) portal.
Rajasthan Labour Department runs the scheme for women who hold a valid beneficiary identity card under the Maternity Benefit Act. There is no application fee, and the amount is sent through DBT, so the whole process stays clear and the cash goes directly to the eligible woman.
Prasuti Sahayata Yojana - Introduction
Prasuti Sahayata Yojana was launched to help women from registered construction worker families in Rajasthan. The main aim is to allow the mother to cover her delivery costs and to encourage hospital delivery so that mother and newborn both get proper medical care. The higher amount for a girl child is a deliberate push to treat sons and daughters equally and to discourage female foeticide.
The benefit is paid in three installments. The first installment of ₹ 5,000 is released after the delivery is reported, the second installment of ₹ 5,000 is paid when the child completes one year, and the last installment of ₹ 10,000 for a son or ₹ 11,000 for a daughter is paid when the child turns five years old and takes admission in a school or educational institution.
