Eligibility
Individual applicants must meet the following conditions.
- Must be a resident of Meghalaya.
- Age must be between 18 and 58 years.
- Must not be a defaulter at any financial institution.
- Only new projects are eligible.
- Must own the project land or hold a valid notarized lease agreement for at least 15 years.
Registered entities can also apply. They must be a registered society, cooperative, or similar tourism-related organisation, legally registered with the Government of Meghalaya. Such entities must not be defaulters at any financial institution and must hold valid land ownership or a certified lease agreement.
Exclusions
Some applicants are not covered under this scheme. These include pressure groups and political organisations, and cases where more than one member from the same family applies. State and Central Government employees, including PSU staff, are also excluded. The same applies to politically active people or those holding or seeking public office, registered Class-1 contractors, and government consultants.
