Mukhyamantri Kanya Abhibhawak Pension Yojana Details
Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department of Madhya Pradesh started this pension on 1 April 2013. In many families daughters shift to their in-laws' home after marriage, and parents who have no son are left without regular income support in old age. This pension gives such couples a small but steady monthly income.
It is one of the 12 pension schemes running on the single state pension portal at socialsecurity.mp.gov.in. Payment goes out along with other social security pensions every month. In January 2026 the state paid around ₹327 crore to over 54 lakh pensioners across all these schemes, which shows the payment cycle is running normally.

Apply Online for Kanya Abhibhawak Pension
Online applying is done on the state pension portal and takes only a few minutes if the Samagra ID is ready. Keep scanned documents and a bank passbook copy near you before starting.
STEP 1 - Open the pension portal at socialsecurity.mp.gov.in and look for the section on social pension and money help schemes on the home page.
STEP 2 - Click the link for online application for pension schemes. The form asks for the 9-digit Samagra ID first, so enter it and pull up your family details.
STEP 3 - Pick Mukhyamantri Kanya Abhibhawak Pension Yojana from the scheme list, then fill in age, address, bank account number and IFSC code exactly as printed in the passbook.
STEP 4 - Upload the required documents, finish the Samagra e-KYC step, and submit the form. Note down the application number shown on screen for checking status later.
STEP 5 - Track approval on the same portal. Under the Public Service Guarantee Act 2010 the office has to decide within 15 working days.
Offline Application
People who find the online form hard can still apply on paper. In villages the filled form goes to the Gram Panchayat or Janpad Panchayat office of your native place. In cities it goes to the Municipal Corporation, Nagar Palika or Nagar Parishad office. Approval is given by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat in rural areas, and by the Commissioner or Chief Municipal Officer in urban areas.

- You should be a native resident of Madhya Pradesh, with address proof in your name.
- Either the husband or wife must be 60 years of age or above on the date of applying.

Benefit Amount and Payment
Pension is ₹600 per month and it continues for life as long as the eligibility holds. Money is sent by DBT payment to the bank account linked with the Samagra ID. A hike to ₹1,500 in line with Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana has been talked about in the state, but no order has been issued till August 2026, so the amount stays ₹600.
If a month's payment does not come, the usual reason is pending e-KYC or a bank account that is not seeded properly. Get the e-KYC done at the nearest Samagra kiosk or panchayat office and the arrears are usually paid in the next cycle. Widows already getting Mukhyamantri Kalyani Pension Yojana or another state pension cannot draw two pensions at the same time.
