Uttar Pradesh government's Shadi Anudan Yojana gives ₹20,000 to poor families for the marriage of their daughter. SC, ST, OBC, minority and general category families of the state can apply, and each family can get this support for a maximum of two daughters.

Applications are submitted online at shadianudan.upsdc.gov.in. The amount reaches the beneficiary bank account directly through DBT payment, so no middleman is involved at any stage. Three departments handle the applications, based on the category of the applicant.

UP Shadi Anudan Yojana 2026 - Online Application Process

UP Shadi Anudan Yojana, also called Vivah Anudan Yojana, is a marriage support scheme of the Uttar Pradesh government. Social Welfare Department, Backward Classes Welfare Department and Scheduled Tribes Development Department run this scheme for their own categories. The scheme started in 2017 and is still open for new applications.

The whole process is online. Keep your Aadhaar card, caste certificate, income certificate and bank passbook ready before starting, because these details are needed while filling the form. New Registration Steps

STEP 1 - Open the official portal shadianudan.upsdc.gov.in in any browser. The homepage shows options for new registration, application correction, application print and status check.

STEP 2 - Click the "आवेदन करें" link in the main menu. Now select the option that matches your category, such as general, SC, ST, OBC or minority, as shown in the picture above. The new registration process for each category is explained in the next steps.

STEP 3 - If you belong to general, scheduled caste or scheduled tribe category, click the same link to start your application for Shadi Anudan Yojana.

STEP 4 - Next, enter your Aadhaar card number and complete the KYC with the OTP that comes on your registered mobile number.

STEP 5 - After KYC is done, the other backward class category form of UP Shadi Anudan Yojana opens on the screen and looks like this.

STEP 6 - Applicants from the minority category cannot apply on the portal right now, although the minority category form of the scheme looks like the image below. The website has taken down the form link for this category for the time being.

STEP 7 - Fill every detail asked in the online form correctly, then click the "जमा करें" button at the bottom to complete your registration. Note down the registration number that appears on the screen, as it is needed later for correction, print and status check.

Check Shadi Anudan Yojana Application Status

STEP 1 - Open the Shadi Anudan Yojana application status page on the official portal.

STEP 2 - Enter your registration number and the captcha code, then click the "रेजिस्टर्ड मोबाईल पर OTP भेजें" button.

STEP 3 - Now enter the OTP received on your phone and click Submit. The application status of your scheme appears on the screen.

Application Correction and Final Submit

If any detail in your submitted form is wrong, you can correct it before the final submit. The portal has a separate option for this work.

STEP 1 - Open the official portal and log in with your registration number and mobile OTP.

STEP 2 - Click the "आवेदन पत्र संशोधन / फाइनल सबमिट" link.

STEP 3 - Enter your application number, bank account number and password, then click the Login button to open the form and make the changes.

Print Shadi Anudan Yojana Application

STEP 1 - Go to the official portal Shadi Anudan Yojana login page.

STEP 2 - Log in with your registration number and mobile OTP, then click the "आवेदन पत्र पुनः प्रिंट करने हेतु यहा क्लिक करें" link to print your application.

STEP 3 - To print or reprint your UP Shadi Anudan Yojana application, enter your application number, bank account number and password and click Login.

Who Can Apply for UP Shadi Anudan Yojana

The eligibility rules are different for each category, so check the one that applies to you before applying online.

• OBC category: the applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh and belong to a backward class caste. Annual family income should be less than ₹1,00,000. Support is given for a maximum of two daughters.
• SC and general category: the applicant must live permanently in Uttar Pradesh and belong to SC or general category. Annual family income should not be more than ₹46,080 in rural areas and ₹56,460 in urban areas.
• ST category: the applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh and belong to a scheduled tribe. Benefit is available for a maximum of two daughters.

At the time of marriage, the minimum age of the bride is fixed at 18 years and that of the groom at 21 years. In the application process, priority is given to families with persons with disabilities, widows, families affected by natural disasters and landless families.
