Madhya Pradesh government's Mukhyamantri Samajik Suraksha Kalyani Pension Yojana is accepting applications for widow women of the state. Social Justice and Divyangjan Welfare Department runs this scheme, which started in 2018, and every eligible Kalyani gets ₹600 per month straight into her own bank account by DBT payment.
Kalyani here simply means a widow woman living in Madhya Pradesh. After losing the husband, many women have no regular income at all, so the state gives a small fixed monthly pension so that basic household needs can be handled without depending on anyone. As of August 2026, the pension amount, rules and apply process are unchanged, and the scheme is being run along with 11 other pension schemes on one single portal at socialsecurity.mp.gov.in.
Application is checked at the local body level. In villages the file goes to the Janpad and District Panchayat, and in cities to the Nagar Nigam, Nagar Palika or Nagar Parishad. Under the Public Service Guarantee Act 2010, the application has to be decided within 15 working days, so there is a fixed time limit and one can complain if it drags on.
