Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana 2024 1st installment is going to be transferred by PM Modi on 26 October 2023. All the registered applicants will get an assistance of Rs. 12000 under this scheme. If you are not registered, then you can apply online for Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana at pmkisan.gov.in.

This नमो शेतकरी महासन्मान निधि योजना was earlier announced by the Finance Minister in Maharashtra state budget 2023-24. Each farmer will get an assistance of Rs. 6000 under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna and an extra Rs. 6000 by state govt. totalling to Rs. 12000 under Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana.

Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana 2023 Apply Online

The farmer must be a resident of Maharashtra to be eligible for Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana 2023. The individual should have cultivable agricultural land in their name. To be eligible for the benefit, the individual should be registered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and have a valid bank account as well. The government will directly transfer the money in installments.

If a farmer is eligible under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, then he/she is automatically registered under Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana. So, one must register firstly by clicking “New Farmer Registration” link at https://pmkisan.gov.in/

Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana in Maharashtra Budget 2023-24

Finance minister has presented Maharashtra Budget 2023-24 on 9 March 2023 in which he said “For increasing the income of the Annadata Baliraja, I announce the Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi to supplement the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Nidhi Yojana, conceived by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, with grants from the State. The State government will provide an additional amount of Rs. 6000 along with Rs. 6000 per farmer per year from the central government. In this way, an amount of Rs. 12,000 will be deposited in the farmer’s account every year. Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana will benefit 1.15 crores farmer families. For this, an outlay of Rs. 6900 crores is proposed in 2023-24”.

In probably the biggest package for farmers in the recent past, deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the finance portfolio, allocated around Rs. 30,000 crore towards sustainable farming and prosperous schemes such as Rs. 12,000 honorarium per annum to all the farmers under the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana. In his budget speech in the assembly, Fadnavis said that the state government will also dole out a certain amount towards crop insurance to the farmers besides huge debt incentives to paddy growers and farmers who have opted for short-loans.

Under the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana scheme, the state government will provide an additional amount of Rs. 6000 along with Rs. 6,000 per farmer per year from the central government. “In this way, an amount of Rs. 12,000 will be deposited in the farmer’s account every year. This will benefit 1.15 crore farmer families. For this, an outlay of Rs. 6,900 crores is proposed in 2023-24,” Fadnavis said in his budget speech in the state assembly. 

While delivering the Maharashtra Budget Speech 2023-24, Finance Minister also said “There is a provision to pay 2% of the insurance premium by the farmer in the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme of 2016 by the central government. The insurance premium for their share will be paid by the state government itself and now even this burden will not be placed on farmers. Farmers can register on the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Yojana portal by paying a nominal fee of Re 1. An annual outlay of Rs. 3,312 crore will be made by the state government for this scheme”.

Mahakrishivikas Yojana in Maharashtra Budget 2023-24

While presenting Maharashtra Budget 2023-24, FM said “Inclusiveness is absolutely essential for sustainable development of agriculture. Hence, I announce the “Mahakrishivikas Yojana”. Considering crop and fruit crop as the basic component, all aspects from production to value addition process will be financed by preparing an integrated crop-based project plan for taluka, district wise groups of farmers. This will substantially increase the income of farmers. An outlay of Rs. 3000 crores will be made available for this scheme for the next five years”.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Samman Yojana in Maha Budget 2023-24

FM mentioned “Our government had started the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Samman Yojana in the year 2017. Many farmers were not given the benefits of this scheme in the intermittent period. The remaining eligible farmers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Shetkari Samman Yojana will be given their benefits”.

Gopinath Munde Shetkari Accident Insurance Scheme in Maharashtra Budget

Gopinath Munde Shetkari Accident Insurance Scheme is implemented to provide insurance cover to the families of accident-affected farmers, through insurance companies. However, farmers have to follow up with insurance companies to get the insurance claim amount. To alleviate the hardship of the farmers, the State Government will now implement the “Gopinath Munde Shetkari Suraksha Sanugrah Grant Yojana”. Under the revised scheme, the family of the accident-affected farmers will be given a grant of up to Rs. 2 lakhs.

Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Organic Farming Mission

An area of 25 lakhs hectares in the state will be brought under organic farming in the next three years, to promote natural farming. The scope of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Organic Farming Mission will be expanded by establishing one thousand bio-input source centres. An outlay of Rs. 1000 crores will be made available for this in three years.
