Coverage of Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang Scheme

The scheme covers secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation for the listed critical diseases. The main coverage points are as follows.

  • Health cover up to Rs 2,00,000 per family per year on a floater basis.
  • Covers secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation at empanelled hospitals.
  • Provision for payment of air or train fare to the beneficiary plus one attendant for treatment outside the state.

Eligibility Criteria

The scheme is meant for poor and needy families who are identified in the SECC data. The eligibility conditions are given below.

  • Bona fide citizen of Manipur who belongs to any of the categories, that is AAY, widow or disabled, is eligible to get the scheme benefits.
  • Bona fide citizen of Manipur who claims to be poor and needy but is not listed in any of the above categories may apply for eligibility through the DC verification process.

Documents Required for Enrolment

At the time of enrolment, the beneficiary family needs to carry the following documents to the enrolment centre.

  • ID Proof: Original EPIC (Voter ID) card, PAN card, Driving License, Ration Card, Passport or Government ID card.
  • Eligibility Proof: SECC based eligibility, AAY card, disability certificate or certificate from the Deputy Commissioner about economic status.
  • Aadhaar Number: Aadhaar is required to enrol. At least the head of the family or one member must provide Aadhaar details.

How to Enrol Yourself and Family

Enrolment happens at district hospitals, RIMS Hospital and JNIMS Hospital. The process is simple and is done with the help of Asha workers.

STEP 1 - The Asha worker will alert you about the enrolment of your family before the enrolment date.

STEP 2 - Carry the required documents with you to the enrolment centre, including PAN, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, Government ID, Ration Card or any ID issued by a recognised education institution.

STEP 3 - Visit the enrolment centre. All beneficiaries must be physically present at the centre.

STEP 4 - The verifying officer checks all documents and confirms the eligibility of the family.

STEP 5 - After verification, the operator enrols the family members and issues the unique CMHT Manipur Health card along with the scheme handout.

Enrolment Fee

A fee of Rs 50 is charged per SECC family to meet the cost of the card and processing. No fee is taken from AAY, disabled people and widows who produce the relevant documents for verification.

Other Benefits

Within the state, a transport allowance of Rs 300 per visit is given, subject to an annual ceiling of Rs 3,000, and this is included in the total cover of Rs 2 lakh per family. For treatment outside the state, a daily allowance of Rs 1,000 per day is given up to a total limit of Rs 10,000, and the air or train fare for the beneficiary and one attendant is capped at Rs 30,000 per year. All these amounts come within the annual limit of Rs 2 lakh per family.

CMHT and PMJAY

PMJAY gives a cover of Rs 5 lakh per 2011 SECC family per year for secondary and tertiary care, with no restriction on family size, age or gender. No money needs to be paid by the family for treatment in case of hospitalisation.

CMHT gives up to Rs 2,00,000 health cover for newly added SECC, AAY, disabled and widow families. The CMHT scheme covers cashless health protection up to Rs 2 lakh per family.
