Himachal Pradesh government is going to launch a new Swaran Jayanti Gyanodaya Cluster Shreshtha Vidyalaya Yojana 2024. In this scheme, the state govt. will bring out qualitative changes in around 100 schools to improve their condition. HP Swaran Jayanti Gyanodaya Cluster Shreshtha Vidyalaya Yojana 2024
Around 15 crore would be spent under this scheme to improve schools. Former CM Jai Ram Thakur led HP govt. had announced this scheme while addressing a review meeting of budget assurances for the FY 2021-22. The HP state govt. has introduced Bachelor of Vocational Courses in 12 colleges of the state. Moreover in the current financial year, such courses would also be started in 6 more colleges.
Former Chief Minister had also given directions to the officials to give topmost priority to time-bound fulfillment of budget assurances. It would ensure that the benefits of the schemes reaches down to the target groups.
Swaran Jayanti Gyanodaya Cluster Shreshtha Vidyalaya Yojana Implementation
In the new HP Swaran Jayanti Gyanodaya Cluster Shreshtha Vidyalaya Yojana 2024, qualitative changes would be carried out in around 100 schools. Efforts would be made to increase enrollment of students in govt. schools particularly at pre-primary and primary levels. The state govt. will lay special emphasis on qualitative improvement in education through Swaran Jayanti Gyanodaya Cluster Shreshtha Vidyalaya Yojana. Accordingly, the major objective is to ensure that students gets best education close to their homes.
The previously launched Medha Protsahan Yojana by HP government has proved a boon for the students. Students are getting incentives of Rs. 1 lakh to pursue coaching for various exams such as NEET, IIT among others. Moreover under the Swaran Jayanti Super 100 Scheme, 100 toppers of class tenth would be given Rs. 1 lakh in the current year. This amount is to undergo training to compete in various entrance examinations.
Krishi Utpadan Sanrakshan Yojana 2024 has also been launched in the state. In this scheme, the state govt. is providing 50% subsidy to the farmers to erect structure to support anti-hail nets. Similar to this, Mehak Yojna has been launched for promotion and cultivation of aromatic plants.
Controlled atmosphere stores are being upgraded under the World Bank aided Horticulture Development Project at Gumma, Jarol-Tikkar and Rohru. It would facilitate the horticulturists and farmers of the HP state in getting appropriate prices of their produce.
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, the Himachal Pradesh govt. will ensure that all households get tapped water by the FY 2022. The Himachal Pradesh govt. has also received an incentive of Rs. 57 crore from Union government for an effective implementation of the scheme.
