AP YSR Cheyutha Scheme 2026, also called Jagananna Cheyutha, was a scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh government to give financial support to women in the state. Through this scheme, the AP government wanted to support women from SC, ST, BC and minority communities. The benefit of ₹75,000 was to be paid over four years (₹18,750 per year) to women between 45 and 60 years of age. Andhra Pradesh govt. had set aside ₹4,949 crore in AP Budget 2026 (out of total ₹17,000 crore) for this women welfare scheme.

Scheme has been closed or it was a one time scheme which has been closed by the government.

Under AP YSR Cheyutha Scheme 2026, the state government was to provide ₹75,000 to all women from SC / ST / BC / Minority communities over 4 years. So the annual sum of ₹18,750 was to be paid as financial support to every eligible woman in the state. The scheme was expected to benefit about 26 lakh women across the state.

Poor women who were deprived of basic facilities could use this money under YSR Cheyutha Scheme to lead a life of dignity. To get the benefits of AP YSR Cheyutha Yojana, women had to be above 45 years of age, while the maximum age was 60 years.

Andhra Pradesh YSR Cheyutha Scheme 2026

YSR Cheyutha was started in August 2020 as part of the YSR Navaratnalu family of schemes in Andhra Pradesh. The money was meant to help women start small businesses, dairy units, tailoring work or petty trade. Payment was made directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the eligible woman through DBT, so there was no middleman.

Around 22 to 26 lakh women were covered under the scheme in different phases. Enrolment and verification were handled at the Village or Ward Secretariat level. The scheme was designed for four years and its defined benefit cycle has been completed.
