What is Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana

Maharashtra Swadhar Yojana Grant Amount
The grant amount depends on the city or area where the student is studying. The state government pays the following amounts per year:-

STEP 1 - Visit the official hostel management portal at hmas.mahait.org.
STEP 2 - On the homepage, register or log in with the required details.
STEP 3 - Fill in the Swadhar Yojana application form with correct personal, academic and bank details.
STEP 4 - Upload the required documents and submit the application before the last date.
Students must apply to the Assistant Commissioner's office of the district where they are studying, regardless of where they study in Maharashtra. The completed application with all documents is checked and the grant is paid after approval.
Swadhar Yojana Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following conditions to get the benefit:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Maharashtra and belong to SC or Neo-Buddhist category.
- Applicant must be eligible for admission to a government hostel.
- Annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Student must have secured at least 50% marks in the previous examination (10th for 11th admission, 12th for higher education).
