West Bengal Online Marriage Registration Form 2021 for Couples at MARREG Portal at rgmwb.gov.in. Candidates can register their marriage online and get marriage certificate instantly at MARREG Portal. The primary objective is to minimize usage of paper and to ease down the marriage registry procedures including process of getting marriage certificates. Accordingly, this WB Marriage Registration Portal will provide information on the documents required for marriage.
WB govt. has launched an e-registry system to ease down the process of marriage registration. For this reason, govt. is providing training to the Marriage Registrars to handle the online applications made through the new portal / online process. Moreover, this new system will reduce the marriage registration fees in West Bengal. This procedure will cost less than Rs. 1000 (present rate) for marriage registry in West Bengal.

The state govt. has launched a dedicated portal where candidates can register online. Accordingly, both the bride and bridegroom have to fill the application form with Proof of Age (Scanned Copy), Address Proof (Scanned Copy) and other essential documents. Afterwards, couples will receive certified copies of their registry as acknowledgement. Moreover, the entire system to get Marriage certificate is transparent, efficient and paperless.
West Bengal Online Marriage Registration Form 2021
Government has introduced Online Registration of Marriages on and from 1 December 2018. For online marriage registration you are requested to follow the sequence of steps mentioned bellow:-
STEP 1: Visit the official website at https://rgmwb.gov.in/MARREG_Portal/MARREG_Home.aspx
STEP 2: Click on the link “Register Your Marriage” link as shown below:-
STEP 3: Click on the “Click Here to Apply Online” link at the newly opened window. Then the Application Form for West Bengal Online Marriage Registration will appear as shown below:-
STEP 4: Select the Relevant Act of Marriage, fill up Notice /Application pages for Bride and bridegroom or wife and Husband.
STEP 5: Upload full Signature (if illiterate RTI), Signed Photograph (Signature must be put at side base i.e. away from the face), Proof of Birth, Proof of Residential Address and Left Thumb Impression.
STEP 6: Select Marriage Officer from the list as per your choice and apply to the Marriage Officer.
STEP 7: You will receive an SMS and Email containing instructions and application serial number. Your selected MO will also receive a similar SMS.
STEP 8: Contact to the Marriage Officer/Hindu Marriage Registrar over phone and meet him personally/through relative with fees (fees chat given in the website) and original documents that were uploaded at the time of Notice/Application.
Note – Although the marriage registrations of couples are going online but the couples are not allowed to fill the application form for online marriage registration from their home. This new software for registry of marriages will remain available at the offices of the Marriage Registrars.
This new online registry of marriage is transparent, efficient and cheaper than the previous system. Furthermore, couples need not have to make unnecessary visits at the office of the Marriage Registrar.

Before the applicants proceed for registration of marriage, confirm the following:-
- Your computer is malware / virus free.
- The cache memory and browser cookies have been cleaned.
- Ensure that available bandwidth (internet speed) is more than 0.5 Mbps.
- Do not use cell phone to scan document use proper FlatBed scanner.
- Do not use mobile internet while working on the portal.
- Browser pop-up is enabled.
- The Acts of Marriages are known (It can be changed by your Marriage officer only.
- Confirm that groom (husband) and bride (wife) has mobile and e-mail ID.
- If you are a marriage officer, please do not work on multiple applications at a time.
- So not share your password or OTP with anyone.

You are requested to follow the steps mentioned below to find out names and mobile number of Marriage Officers: Visit the website https://rgmwb.gov.in Public Info Search MO. Search can be done by typing MO Name or selecting MO Location (MO Type, District and Police Station).
If someone tries to introduce himself/herself as Marriage Officer, please justify by searching his/her details including his/her photograph from the website. Marriage Officer whose name is not found in the website is definitely a fake Marriage Officer.
At the time of Registration/Solemnisation of Marriages, the bride and bridegroom or the wife and husband all three witnesses shall sign in presence of Marriage Officer/ Hindu Marriage Registrar. In the online process, after Solemnisation / Registration, it is mandatory that a joint photograph of Marriage Officer/ Hindu Marriage Registrar along with Bride and bridegroom or wife and Husband is to be uploaded for processing and subsequent generation of Marriage Certificate.
