Swaran Jayanti Guru Darshan Yatra Scheme 2016 supports residents of Haryana with money help for pilgrimages to holy Sikh sites such as Sri Hazoor Sahib, Nankana Sahib, Sri Hemkund Sahib, and Sri Patna Sahib. Eligible pilgrims can get up to ₹6,000 or 50% of the actual travel cost, whichever is lower, for a yatra done through approved channels.
Haryana government keeps this yatra support scheme available for pilgrims, and the Tourism Department manages it. It covers residents who completed their Guru Darshan Yatra through a State Government, Central Government, or registered society route on or after 1st April 2016.
In April 2025, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed the department to expand the scope of this yatra scheme. Along with the existing destinations, religious places such as Anandpur Sahib and Chamkaur Sahib were added under the scheme so more pilgrims can get support. The same review also covered the Sindhu Dharshan Yatra Scheme and Kailash Mansarovar Yatra for better pilgrimage facilities.
The state also offers special train services for pilgrims. In May 2026, two special trains were flagged off from Kurukshetra and Sirsa to Sri Hazoor Sahib in Nanded, and pilgrims who complete the yatra through the approved route can claim the money support after the journey.

Benefits
This scheme gives direct cash support to pilgrims so that the travel cost of a holy yatra stays manageable. The money support depends on the actual amount spent on the journey:
| Benefit Criteria | Financial Support |
| Maximum Reimbursement | ₹6,000 |
| Cost Coverage | 50% of actual travel expenditure |
| Limit Condition | Whichever is lower of the two amounts |
Support is limited to a maximum of 50 pilgrims in a year. The amount works as a helpful contribution towards the travel cost, and it is paid through a demand draft after the application is approved.
