Benefits
Eligible women receive financial support of ₹ 1,500 every month through this scheme. In March 2026, the government credited ₹ 45.26 crore to over 2.24 lakh beneficiaries across Goa under the Griha Aadhar and Dayanand Social Security Schemes together. Eligibility
To qualify for this scheme, a woman needs to meet the following conditions:
- The applicant should be a married woman, widow, or divorcee.
- The applicant should be at least 18 years of age.
- The applicant should be a resident of Goa for at least fifteen years.
- The combined annual household income of husband and wife should not exceed ₹ 3,00,000.
- A widow with a minor child receiving benefits under the Dayanand Social Security Scheme is also eligible.
For example, if Meena lives in Goa and has a combined family income of ₹ 2,50,000, she qualifies for the support.
Exclusions
Some women cannot apply for this scheme. The scheme is not available to a woman or her husband if they already receive benefits under the Dayanand Social Security Scheme, except in the case of a widow with a minor child. Also, a woman or her husband who holds a regular job in the state government, central government, or a scheduled bank cannot apply. Contract and daily wage workers are exempt from this rule.
Application Process
Women can apply for the scheme through both online and offline processes.
STEP 1 - For the online process, register on the official website at goaonline.gov.in by providing an email id, mobile number, name, address and date of birth along with OTP authentication. After successful registration, log in and go to Services Menu, then All Services, then Directorate of Women and Child Development, and select Griha Aadhar Scheme.
STEP 2 - Answer the eligibility questionnaire, fill in the application form details, and upload the required documents. Click on Save and proceed to pay. Once the payment is done, the application is submitted to the department for processing, and an acknowledgement SMS and email are sent. Keep the acknowledgement number for tracking.
STEP 3 - For the offline process, download the application form, fill in all details, attach a passport-sized photograph signed across, and include self-attested copies of your documents. Submit the completed application to the Director, Directorate of Women and Child Development, 2nd floor, Old Education Building, 18th June Road, Altinho, Panaji, Goa - 403 001.

From March 2026 onwards, assistance under the Griha Aadhar Scheme is credited by the 10th of every month.
