SHG List Assam is the state-wise report of Self-Help Groups kept online by National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) under Ministry of Rural Development. Members of Self-Help Groups in Assam can check their group name, member name and bank account details on the official portal at nrlm.gov.in. The report is pulled from the NRLM management information system, so the details shown match the records kept with the block mission team.
The category-wise list carries member name, gram panchayat name, village name, Self-Help Group ID and bank account details. Banks and government departments use the same list for beneficiary checking and scheme monitoring. In Assam, the mission work is handled by Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), which works with SHG women across rural districts through its official ASRLM website.

What are Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
Self-Help Groups are small groups formed mostly by women, with 10 to 25 members in each group. Members usually fall in the 18 to 40 year age group and come together to start small businesses, save money regularly and take loans as a group. The aim is simple. Better income, better living conditions and a steady source of work at the village level.
Many government and non-government agencies promote these groups in rural and urban areas across India. Under DAY-NRLM, groups that complete the basic grading get bank linkage and can take loans from banks at low interest. In Assam, Lakhpati Baideo and similar missions work on top of these groups, so the SHG list also decides who gets the next round of support.

Assam SHG Loan Stamp Duty Waiver 2026
Assam cabinet, in its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on 25 July 2026, approved waiver of stamp duty on individual loan documents signed by SHG members under Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM). The waiver applies to loans up to ₹10 lakh taken from scheduled commercial banks, regional rural banks, cooperative banks or any other financial institution regulated by Reserve Bank of India for livelihood and enterprise work. So a woman from an Assam SHG who takes a loan of up to ₹10 lakh for business or income work no longer pays stamp duty on that loan document.
