Banglashree for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises - Subsidy for Standard Quality Compliance (SCCS) - Introduction
Banglashree for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises: Subsidy for Standard Quality Compliance (SCCS) was a supportive incentive program implemented by the MSMEs department, government of west bengal. It reimbursed eligible units for expenses incurred while obtaining standard certifications from approved institutions or research laboratories.
This scheme operated under the broader Banglashree for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises banner. It was launched on 1st April 2020 and remained valid until 31st March 2025. As of 14th August 2026, the scheme is closed for new applications and no successor scheme has been notified yet.
Objectives of the Banglashree for MSME Scheme
The main aim was to give fiscal support to entrepreneurs and encourage them to set up or expand micro, small, and medium enterprises. This helped balanced growth across the state, created a sustainable business ecosystem, promoted resource efficiency, and generated new employment opportunities to make the state a leader in the MSME sector.
Objectives of the Subsidy for Standard Quality Compliance Scheme
Through this incentive, units could claim reimbursement for costs linked to certifications such as ISI, BIS, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, ISO 14001, ISO 18000, ISO 22000, or HACCP. If a unit obtained a certificate not listed here, the government could consider its case individually based on necessity and essentiality.
