This scheme provided significant financial support to help institutions achieve eminence in AYUSH services.

The second and third installments depended on performance. Institutions had to make sure that at least 75% of the previously released amount was spent before applying for the next release. A use certificate and a satisfactory performance report were required.

Important note: The grant could not be used to purchase land or fund foreign travel. However, funds could be used to procure ambulances for a healthcare facility.

Eligibility

An organisation was eligible if it fell under one of these categories: AYUSH teaching institutions (under IMCC Act 1970 or HCC Act 1973), government institutes, universities, research councils, autonomous bodies, or non-profits specialized in AYUSH. Reputed tertiary care hospitals with at least 250 beds were also invited to apply if they aimed to establish AYUSH research facilities.

The following criteria had to be met:

• Prove eminence in the field at the state level and show the potential to reach the national level.
• The organisation had to be registered under the Societies Registration Act, Trust Act, or Companies Act.
• A dedicated core team with the required professional background was needed.
• The governing body had to be clear and composed of reputed experts.
• Details of any previous government grants received, including use certificates, had to be provided.
• The institute had to hold a valid NABH, NAAC, or other relevant accreditation.

Application Process

Institutions could apply for this scheme through the official Ayush Anudan Portal of the Ministry of Ayush. Since the scheme has closed, new applications are no longer being accepted, but the portal still holds the scheme details and guidelines.

STEP 1 - Visit the official Ayush Anudan Portal and open the Ayurswasthya Yojana page to check the scheme details and guidelines.

STEP 2 - Review the Centre of Excellence dashboard and the list of approved, completed, and ongoing projects to understand how the scheme was run.

STEP 3 - For offline applications, a detailed project proposal had to be sent to the Director (Schemes), Ministry of Ayush, AYUSH Bhawan, B-Block, GPO Complex, INA, New Delhi - 110023.

2. Registration certificate of the institution (Trust/Society/Company).
3. Audited financial statements for the last 5 years.
4. A detailed note on past achievements in the AYUSH sector.

6. Track record of meritorious accomplishments.
7. Staff profiles and existing infrastructure.
8. International and national awards received, if any.
9. MOU with other professional research institutes.
10. Details of OPD/IPD data and equipment.

Before the release of the grant, a Bank Guarantee, NITI Aayog registration details, and a bond signed by the chief functionary were required.
