Bihar Government runs Mukhyamantri Anusuchit Jati Evam Anusuchit Janjati Udyami Yojana as an SC/ST component under the wider Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana (MMUY) in 2026. Selected SC/ST entrepreneurs get ₹10 lakh total support, half as subsidy and half as an interest-free loan, to set up a new manufacturing, trading or service unit.

Applications for this scheme no longer go through the old startup.bihar.gov.in portal. Since 2024, the Department of Industries has merged the SC/ST, EBC and general categories under one common application system at udyami.bihar.gov.in. All SC/ST candidates who want to apply must use the unified Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana portal. Here is the current process to submit Mukhyamantri SC/ST Udyami Yojana online application:

STEP 1 - Go to the official website at udyami.bihar.gov.in. This is the only working portal for the scheme now, the older startup.bihar.gov.in link is no longer in use.

STEP 2 - Click on the registration option and enter mobile number and Aadhaar number. An OTP will come on the registered mobile number for verification.

STEP 3 - After OTP verification, log in and select Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana from the scheme list, then choose SC/ST as the applicable category.

STEP 4 - Fill in personal details, business or project details, bank account information and educational qualification, then upload the required documents in the given format.

STEP 5 - Check all entered details carefully and submit the form. Note down the application number for future reference and status tracking.

2026 Application Status

Online applications for the 2026 cycle opened on 25 February 2026 and the window closed on 15 March 2026, with some reports of a short extension till 23 March 2026. This was the second application round of the scheme for the year. The department has already started releasing the computerised random selection list for candidates who applied in this round.

Candidates who missed this round should keep checking udyami.bihar.gov.in for the next application cycle, since the department usually opens a fresh round after the ongoing selection and disbursal process finishes.

This loan has to be repaid in 84 equal monthly installments, and repayment starts only after the business begins operating. No processing fee or interest is charged on this loan amount, which makes it easier for first-generation entrepreneurs from the SC/ST community to start their own business without depending on private lenders.
