What is Indiramma Housing Scheme?

Telangana government launched Indiramma Housing Scheme as part of its six guarantee program to address homelessness and poor housing conditions. The scheme provides financial support to selected beneficiaries to build houses with modern features like RCC roofs, kitchens, and toilets.

The first phase targets building 4.5 lakh houses mainly for those who currently have homes that are dilapidated or unsafe. Each house will be at least 400 sq. ft., ensuring dignified living conditions. Total budget allocated for this scheme is ₹3,000 crore.

Second phase of the Indiramma housing program started in April-May 2026 as per government announcements. Along with rural houses, the state government also launched an urban Indiramma Low Income Group (LIG) housing scheme in July 2026 for families in the Hyderabad CURE area. Objectives of Indiramma Housing Scheme

Main aim of this scheme is to remove homelessness and unsafe housing in Telangana by helping poor families get well-constructed houses. The scheme especially focuses on those staying in thatched or poor condition houses, offering them safer homes and improved lifestyles.

Indiramma Housing Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Following eligibility conditions are fixed by Telangana government for Indiramma Housing Scheme. Families should meet these conditions to get the benefit.

• Applicants must be permanent residents of Telangana state.
• Beneficiaries should belong to low-income or financially weak households.
• Applicants must have received government housing assistance before 1994.
• The existing house should be in poor or unlivable condition.

Who is Not Eligible?

Some families are excluded from this scheme as per state government rules.

• Citizens who have availed housing benefits from government schemes after 1995 are not eligible under this scheme.

STEP 1 - Download the Indiramma Mobile App from the Google Play Store.

STEP 2 - Open the app and log in using your credentials and OTP.

STEP 3 - Once logged in, click on the "Apply Now" option on the dashboard.

STEP 4 - Fill out the application form with all the required details and upload required documents.

STEP 5 - Review the details and click "Submit" to finalize your application.

How to Check Your Beneficiary Status

STEP 1 - Visit the official Telangana Housing website.

STEP 2 - Locate and click on the "Beneficiary Search" option on the homepage.

STEP 3 - Enter the required details such as application number or Aadhaar to find your status.

STEP 4 - Review the information and submit your query.

You can also search the application on the official Indiramma Indlu website using mobile number, Aadhaar, application ID or FSC card number.

How to File an Online Complaint

Urban Indiramma Housing Scheme for Hyderabad

In July 2026, Telangana government launched the urban Indiramma Low Income Group (LIG) housing scheme for families in the Hyderabad CURE (Core Urban Region Economy) area. Under this scheme, eligible low income families get a government subsidy of ₹5 lakh on flats built in multi-story towers.

The government plans around 1 lakh LIG houses across 24 assembly constituencies of Hyderabad. First phase covers about 7,000 flats, and 500 houses are planned in each constituency. Application window for the first phase ran from 21 July to 10 August 2026 through MeeSeva centres and the official portal. Families who applied can check their application status on the Telangana Housing Board status page.
