PM Shri School Scheme 2024 Login: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a new initiative namely PM Shri Schools Scheme on 5 September 2022. Under this PM Shri Yojana, around 14,500 schools across the country will be developed and upgraded. All schools will get equipped with modern infrastructure like labs, smart classrooms, libraries and sports facilities. About PM Shri School Scheme 2024
PM SHRI School is a centrally sponsored scheme by Government of India. This initiative is intended to develop more than 14500 PM SHRI Schools managed by Central government/State/UT Government/local bodies including KVS and NVS in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists, where a wide range of learning experiences are offered, and where good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning are available to all students.
It will nurture students in a way that they become engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for building an equitable, inclusive, and plural society as envisaged by the National Education Policy 2020. More than 20 lakh students are expected to be the direct beneficiaries of the scheme. The scheme will also promote understanding of various dimensions of Quality of school education and inform Policy, Practice and Implementation. The learning from these schools will be scaled up to other schools in the country. The Scheme is proposed to be implemented over a period of 5 years w.e.f. 2022-23 to 2026-27
Launch of PM Shri Schools Scheme
On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, PM Modi started Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Scheme. The schools developed under PM-Shri Yojana will become model schools which would encapsulate the full spirit of the new National Education Policy. While launching the PM Shri School scheme, PM said “Today on Teachers Day, I am glad to announce a new initiative – the development and upgradation of 14,500 schools across India under the Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana. These will become model schools which will encapsulate the full spirit of NEP”.

STEP 1: Firstly visit the official website of PM Shri School Scheme at http://pmshrischools.education.gov.in/
STEP 2: At the homepage, go to the “Login” section and click at “Login for National, State and District User” or “Login for School User” link.
STEP 3: On clicking the ‘Login for National, State and District User‘ link, the page for PM Shri Schools login for national, state and district user will appear as shown below:-
STEP 4: Here you will have to enter the mobile number and click “Send OTP” button to make login as national, state or district user.
STEP 5: However, if you have clicked the ‘Login for School Users‘ link, then the page for PM Shri Yojana login for school users will appear as shown below:-
STEP 6: Enter UDISE code, mobile number of HM and click “Send OTP” button to make PM Shri School Login.
PM Shri Yojana in Line with NEP
PM SHRI School will help showcase the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and emerge as exemplar school over a period of time. National Education Policy has transformed the education sector in recent years and now PM-SHRI schools will further benefit lakhs of students across India in the spirit of NEP. The centrally sponsored scheme will be implemented by strengthening existing schools selected from amongst those managed by the Central government, states, Union Territories and local bodies.
Model Schools under PM Shri Scheme
PM SHRI Schools will showcase all components of the National Education Policy 2020 and act as exemplar schools and also offer mentorship to other schools in their vicinity. The aim of these schools will not only be qualitative teaching, learning and cognitive development but also creating holistic and well-rounded individuals equipped with key 21st-century skills.
The pedagogy adopted in the schools developed under PM Shri Yojana will be more experiential, holistic, integrated, play/toy-based (particularly, in the foundational years) inquiry-driven, and discovery-oriented. PM Shri School Scheme will focus on achieving proficiency in learning outcomes in every grade. In these schools, assessment at all levels will be based on conceptual understanding and application of knowledge to real-life situations and will be competency-based.
Model Infrastructure of Schools in PM Shri Schools Scheme
PMO said that “Schools will be equipped with modern infrastructure including labs, smart classrooms, libraries, sports equipment, art room, etc. which is inclusive and accessible. These schools shall also be developed as green schools with water conservation, waste recycling, energy-efficient infrastructure, and integration of organic lifestyle in curriculum”.
PMO added that “They will provide leadership in their respective regions in providing high-quality education in an equitable, inclusive and joyful school environment that takes care of the diverse background, multilingual needs, and different academic abilities of children and makes them active participants in their own learning process as per the vision of NEP 2020”.
Union Education Minister lauded the PM Shri Yojana initiative as a significant step towards implementing the vision of NEP and making India a vibrant knowledge society. A laboratory of NEP 2020, these 14,500 exemplar schools with their unique experiential, holistic, inquiry-driven and learner-centric pedagogy will facilitate the creation of well-rounded individuals with humanistic attitudes who are equipped with skills of the 21st century.
PM Shri Schools will also offer leadership to other schools in the region for making the learning environment more joyful as well as improving educational outcomes.
