Desh Ke Mentor App has been launched by the state government and is now available to download. CM Arvind Kejriwal has started Desh Ke Mentor Programme on 11 October 2021 in which students of Delhi government schools will be provided guidance on career choices by citizens who are successful in their respective fields. In this article, we will tell you about the complete details of this mentorship program.

What is Desh Ke Mentor Program

Desh Ke Mentor Program entails to adopt 1 to 10 government school students who can be mentored by citizens who are successful in their respective fields. Mentors will take out 10 minutes every week to guide students over the phone. Interested citizens can adopt between 1 to 10 children studying in the city’s government schools as part of the Desh Ke Mentor initiative.

Launch of Desh Ke Mentor Programme

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched Desh Ke Mentor Program on 11 Oct 2021. On the launch event, CM said “If our children get better guidance in school itself then they can win the world. The country’s mentor scheme has started in government schools of Delhi.  My appeal to all the youth, definitely connect with the children as a mentor, help them to lead towards a bright future.”

Delhi government had in August announced that Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be the brand ambassador for Desh Ke Mentor Programme.

How to Download Desh Ke Mentor App

Desh Ke Mentor App has been started by the Chief Minister of Delhi. Candidates can download Desh Ke Mentor mobile app by giving a missed call on 7500040004 number. This mentorship app of Delhi education department aims to provide better guidance to govt. school students. All the students would be able to find their mentors who would enable them to prosper in their career.

Under Desh Ke Mentor Programme, youths and successful persons will mentor govt. school students studying in class 9th to 12th. To become mentor, Delhi government has started Desh Ke Mentor App and made Sonu Sood the brand ambassador of the programme.

Improvement in Education Level of Delhi

At the launch event of Desh Ke Mentor Programme, CM Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that there is something wonderful going on in the field of education. Earlier, there were 16 lakh students who were enrolled in govt. schools of Delhi. Now this number has increased to 18.7 lakh in the year 2021. Moreover, around 2.7 lakh students migrated from private schools and got admissions in govt. schools. There is a lot of positivity which is seen in education sector in the NCT of Delhi.

Benefits of Desh Ke Mentor Mobile App

CM Kejriwal mentioned that whenever a student passes class 9th and enters into teenage, then he / she faces different kind of pressure. We want that students gets a mentor whom they consider as brother or friend or sister and share their problems. For this purpose, citizens not only from Delhi but even from other parts of the country will mentor students to make them successful in their life.

Role of Mentors in Nation Building

Chief Minister of Delhi mentioned that mentors will also teach good behaviour to students. CM Kejriwal appealed to the youths and successful people to become mentors and help in nation building. Even if a mentor train one student, then that one student will play his part in the development of whole society as well as of the country. To participate in Desh Ke Mentor Program, the state govt. has created an app. This new Desh Ke Mentor App can be downloaded by placing a missed call at 7500040004.

  1. i downloaded the app and wanted to give my particulars. The app required date of birth but the year changer is not proper. i have tap to go back step by step from 2021 to 1960. instead of a direct change of year and then enter month and date. hope this will be rectified
