School Education Department of Madhya Pradesh is running State Government SC Scholarship (Class 1 to 10) for Scheduled Caste school students, and school-level entry of student details for the 2026-27 session is going on. Yearly amounts run from ₹250 for girls in classes 1 to 5 up to ₹1,200 for girls in classes 9 and 10, paid straight into the student bank account through DBT payment.

No family income limit applies here, which makes it different from most other school scholarships in the state. Girls get covered from class 1 itself, and boys come into the scheme from class 6 onwards. As of 04 August 2026, the scheme is running with the same yearly rates, and no revised amount has been notified by the state government.

State Government SC Scholarship (Class 1 to 10) Details

This is a school-level scholarship, so a student does not fill any form himself. Class teacher or the school office enters student details on the state education portal of Madhya Pradesh, and payment moves to the bank account linked with Samagra ID and Aadhaar. Money is small compared to post-matric schemes, but it is meant to cover copies, stationery and small school costs so that SC children keep studying without a break.

Students who cross class 10 can move on to post-matric support such as Swami Vivekananda Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for classes 11 and 12. Class 9 and 10 students of other categories may also check Sudama Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme.

How to Apply Through School

Whole process runs through the school, so parents only need to give correct papers at the school office and check that the bank details are right.

STEP 1 - Meet the Principal or class teacher of the school where the child is studying and tell them that the child belongs to Scheduled Caste category and needs the state SC scholarship for class 1 to 10.

STEP 2 - Submit copies of the caste certificate, Samagra ID, Aadhaar card, Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate and the bank passbook of the student at the school office.

STEP 3 - School staff enters or updates the student profile on the state education portal of Madhya Pradesh, marks the caste category and links the Samagra ID with the class and section.

STEP 4 - Make sure the bank account is in the student name, is running, and is linked with Aadhaar, because DBT payment fails when the account is closed or not seeded with Aadhaar.

STEP 5 - After a few weeks, ask the school office to check the sanction and payment entry, and get the Samagra ID or account details corrected at once if the payment shows as failed.

Scholarship Amount

Amount depends on the class and on whether the student is a boy or a girl. Payment is yearly, not monthly.

Class Student Amount per Year
1 to 5 Girls only ₹250
6 to 8 Boys ₹200
6 to 8 Girls ₹600
9 to 10 Boys ₹600
9 to 10 Girls ₹1,200

Who Can Apply

Rules are simple and there is no marks condition or income condition. Main points are given below.

  • Student must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh and should have a domicile certificate in the name of the student or the parents.
  • Student must belong to the Scheduled Caste category with a valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • Girls are covered from class 1 to class 10, and boys are covered only from class 6 to class 10.
  • Student must be studying in a recognised government or recognised private school in the state.
  • No minimum or maximum family income is fixed, so any SC family can get the benefit.

One failure in a class is allowed, and there is no need to apply again for renewal as long as the student stays within class 1 to 10. School just updates the class every session.

Required Documents

Keep these papers ready before going to the school office, as a missing Samagra ID or a wrong bank account is the most common reason for delayed payment.

  • Caste certificate showing Scheduled Caste category
  • Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate
  • Samagra ID of the student and the family
  • Aadhaar card of the student
  • Bank passbook of the student account seeded with Aadhaar
  • Marksheet of the previous class
  • Passport size photograph

Payment and Complaint Help

Payment comes once in a session and shows as a DBT credit in the student account. When the money does not come, the first step is the school office, because most problems are due to a wrong Samagra ID, a wrong account number or an account that is not linked with Aadhaar. If the school is not able to fix it, the matter can be raised with the district education office or on CM Helpline number 181, which works for all state scheme complaints in Madhya Pradesh.
