Madhya Pradesh government is running the SC Girl Child Literacy Incentive Amount scheme for Class 11 in the 2026-27 session, and school-level entries for fresh students are being taken through the Shiksha Portal. Scheduled Caste girl students who pass Class 10 and take regular admission in Class 11 get a one-time cash benefit of ₹3,000 in their own bank account.

This scheme is also known as Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana. It started in the 2013-14 session for tribal girls and was extended to Scheduled Caste girls from 2014-15. Payment comes through DBT, so no cash is handed out at school.

SC Girl Child Literacy Incentive Amount Class 11 Details

Main aim of this scheme is simple. Many SC girls in Madhya Pradesh stop studying right after Class 10 because of money problems at home. This ₹3,000 cash benefit works as a small push so that the girl takes admission in Class 11 and keeps studying. It is paid once, in the year the girl joins Class 11.

Scheduled Caste Welfare wing announced the scheme and the School Education Department runs it on the ground. Your school principal is the person who actually files the entry. Students do not fill any separate online form on their own.

How to Apply Online

Application work happens at the school level, but you should still know each step so nothing gets missed.

STEP 1 - Take regular admission in Class 11 in a government or government-approved school in Madhya Pradesh right after passing Class 10.

STEP 2 - Meet your school principal or the scholarship in-charge teacher and tell them you belong to Scheduled Caste category and want the Kanya Saksharta Protsahan benefit.

STEP 3 - Give copies of your Samagra ID, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, Class 10 marksheet and bank passbook to the school. Also give the self-declaration that your father or guardian is not an income tax payer.

STEP 4 - School staff will enter your profile and admission details on the Shiksha Portal (shikshaportal.mp.gov.in) using your Samagra ID and map you against the scheme.

STEP 5 - After the school forwards the entry, the block or district office checks it. Once approved, ₹3,000 goes straight to your Aadhaar-linked bank account by DBT payment.

STEP 6 - Ask your school for the payment status after a few weeks. If money is not credited, the school can check the sanction and payment stage on the same portal.

Benefits in 2026

Benefit amount is unchanged at ₹3,000 for the 2026-27 session. No revision has been notified so far. Money is credited once for Class 11 admission and is not repeated in Class 12.

Since payment is by DBT, the bank account has to be in the girl student's own name and should be linked with Aadhaar. Joint accounts or a parent's account usually cause payment failure.

Who Can Apply

Rules for this scheme are strict on category and admission year, so check these points before giving papers to the school.

  • Girl student must belong to Scheduled Caste category and be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh, with a caste certificate issued by the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue).
  • She should have passed Class 10 and taken regular admission in Class 11 in the same session, not through a gap year or private mode.
  • Father or guardian should not be an income tax payer, and a self-declaration for this has to be given to the school.
  • Samagra ID is required because the whole entry on the portal runs on Samagra data.

Documents Required

Keep clear photocopies ready and give them to the school in one set. Missing papers are the most common reason entries get stuck.

  • Aadhaar card of the student, linked with the bank account and Samagra ID.
  • Permanent caste certificate showing Scheduled Caste category, attested copy.
  • Samagra ID and family Samagra ID number.
  • Class 10 marksheet and Class 11 admission proof from the school.
  • Bank passbook copy in the student's name with IFSC visible.
  • Self-declaration about income tax and a recent passport size photograph.

Last Date and Current Status

No fixed all-India last date is fixed for this scheme. School entries usually run during the admission months of the session, and district offices clear them in batches. Best practice is to complete papers within a month of Class 11 admission. Deadlines, if any, are notified by the department on the Shiksha Portal every session.

For any problem in payment, complaint can be raised on CM Helpline 181 of Madhya Pradesh, or through the school to the district education office.
