Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana is a welfare scheme for children of registered construction workers in Chhattisgarh. It gives cash support so these students can continue their studies from Class 10 up to postgraduate and professional courses without the burden of heavy fees.
Labour Department of Chhattisgarh runs this scheme through the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Eligible students get between ₹ 5,000 and ₹ 12,500 every year depending on the course level. The scheme is open for the 2026-27 academic year and applications are accepted online through the official labour portal.
Mukhyamantri Noni Babu Medhavi Shiksha Sahayata Yojana - Introduction
Construction workers build the cities, but their children often find it hard to pay for education. Daily wage work, money problems and lack of support push many bright children out of school. This scheme was launched on 6 January 2012 to directly help these children with yearly financial support from Class 10 through postgraduate and professional study.
The Labour Department of Chhattisgarh started the scheme under the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. The Board pays the money directly into the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT. Girls receive ₹ 500 more than boys at every level, and the amount is paid once per academic year as a lump sum.
