Madhya Pradesh Shram Kalyan Mandal is running Kalyani Sahayata Yojana for widows of workers who died while working in registered industrial units of the state. Under this scheme the widow gets ₹6,000 twice a year, once in June and once in December, which comes to ₹12,000 every year straight into her bank account.
Applications stay open all year and there is no closing date. As per the rules of Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam 1982, the husband should have worked at least one year in a unit that was paying its regular contribution to the Board. Once approved, the money keeps coming year after year, as long as a fresh affidavit is given every year.
Kalyani Sahayata Yojana Madhya Pradesh 2026
Kalyani Sahayata Yojana is run by Labour Welfare Board under Labour Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. It covers only organised sector workers, so the unit where the husband worked should have more than 9 workers and should be registered with MP Shram Kalyan Mandal. Family of a worker who died in service often loses its only earning member, and this yearly payment gives some regular money in hand for household costs.
Application should be given within one year of the worker's death. Employer or manager of the unit has to verify and sign the form with the official seal, otherwise the form will not be accepted. For contract workers, the principal employer does this verification. After the complete form reaches the designated office, payment is processed in about 30 days.

How to Apply for Kalyani Sahayata Yojana
Apply process is partly online and partly offline. Form is filled on paper, gets verified by the employer, and then a Lok Seva Kendra operator uploads it into the system. Steps are given below.
STEP 1 - Get the form first. Download the Kalyani Sahayata Yojana application form PDF from Shram Kalyan Mandal portal, or pick up a printed copy from the regional office of the Board or from a Labour Welfare Centre near you.
STEP 2 - Fill every column carefully. Write your name, husband's name, full address, name and address of the unit where he worked, his joining date, date of death, cause of death, bank account number with IFSC code, Aadhaar number and details of children. Blank columns are a common reason for rejection, so do not leave anything empty.
STEP 3 - Take the filled form to the employer or manager of the unit where your husband worked. They have to fill their part, sign it and put the official seal. If your husband was a contract worker, the principal employer will sign it.
STEP 4 - Attach self attested copies of the death certificate, bank passbook first page, Aadhaar card and PF or ESI card if he had one. Also attach the affidavit stating that you are alive and have not remarried.
STEP 5 - Submit the full set at your nearest Lok Seva Kendra. The operator will upload it and hand you a receipt. Keep that receipt safely, it is your proof of submission. Regional offices of Shram Kalyan Mandal also help with submission in some districts.
STEP 6 - Track the application on the MP Lok Seva Guarantee portal using the receipt number. Status updates also come by SMS on the mobile number written in the form, so give a number that stays with you.
Who Can Apply
Rules are fixed by the Board and checked at the time of verification. Read these points before filling the form.
- Applicant should be the legal widow of a worker who died while employed in an industrial unit covered under MP Shram Kalyan Nidhi Adhiniyam, 1982.
- Unit should have more than 9 workers and should have been paying its contribution to MP Shram Kalyan Mandal regularly.
- Husband should have completed at least one year of work in that unit before his death.
- Widow should not have remarried, and she should not be getting a similar payment from any other government department.
- Form has to carry the verification and signature of the employer or manager of the unit.
For example, if Meena's husband worked two years in a registered factory in Indore and the factory was paying its Board contribution, she can apply after his death provided she has not remarried and is not taking a similar benefit elsewhere.
Required Documents
Keep photocopies ready before going to the Lok Seva Kendra, since incomplete files get rejected at the counter itself.
- Filled application form in the fixed format with signature of the applicant and the employer along with the seal
- Death certificate of the worker, self attested copy
- Affidavit (shapath patra) stating you have not remarried
- First page of the bank passbook showing name, account number and IFSC code
- Aadhaar card of the applicant, plus a passport size photo

Payment and Yearly Renewal
Money is paid by DBT payment into the bank account written in the form. First instalment of ₹6,000 comes in the June cycle and the second ₹6,000 in the December cycle. Benefit continues for life as long as the yearly affidavit reaches the office on time and the conditions are still met. If false information is found later, the amount paid is recovered and legal action can also follow.
Complaint Help and Appeal
If the form is rejected or nothing happens within the fixed time, a first appeal can be filed with the Assistant Welfare Commissioner, MP Shram Kalyan Mandal, 83 Malviya Nagar, Bhopal.
