Campus Recruitment Assistance Scheme gives eligible IT units in Goa a financial help of ₹10,000 for every fresh graduate hired directly through campus placements from educational institutes inside the state. This support from the Department of Information Technology helps both new and existing IT companies hire local talent while keeping costs low.
The scheme runs under the Goa IT Policy 2018 and continues to accept applications in 2026. Launched back in 2018, it was designed to make Goa a better place for IT investment and to create jobs for young graduates from Goan colleges. The program connects students graduating from local institutes with IT employers who need fresh talent.
Campus Recruitment Assistance Scheme Details
The main aim of this scheme is to encourage IT businesses set up in Goa to hire freshers from campus drives rather than going outside the state for recruitment. By offering a fixed amount per hire, the government reduces the initial hiring burden on small and medium IT units. The assistance acts as a one-time rebate for each eligible fresher.
Units can apply on a quarterly, bi-annual, or annual basis once they have incurred the relevant hiring expenses. The payment goes through a scrutiny committee and usually takes around 90 days from application receipt to final disbursement. All payments depend on budget availability, so units should plan their hiring accordingly.
