हरियाणा एक ब्लॉक एक प्रोडक्ट योजना 2024: Haryana government launch One Block One Product Scheme 2024 to encourage and promote small industries in the rural areas. Under the OBOP scheme, the state govt. plans to connect every block of the state with some industrial vision and the government is working expeditiously on this scheme. One Block One Product Scheme in Haryana Budget 2023-24

While presenting the Haryana Budget 2023-24, FM said “The government of Haryana has launched the One Block One Product initiative, through the Programme to Accelerate Development for MSME Advancement (PADMA). The initiative aims at implementing design and developmental interventions for enablement of micro and small enterprises at block level by leveraging a cluster approach and promote balanced regional growth. The PADMA policy shall offer new innovative incentives like PADMA Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, Interest Subvention scheme, PADMA Designing, Branding, Marketing & Exports promotion scheme with a budget of ₹1,000 crore over 5 years”.

What is Haryana One Block One Product Scheme 2024

Haryana state manufactures 67% of total cars made in India. Around 60% motorcycles and 50% tractors are made in the Haryana state itself. In addition to this, around 50% of refrigerators used in homes are even made in the state. Around 60% of the total export of Basmati rice is also from the Haryana state. The state govt. has prepared a new One Block One Product Scheme to promote and give recognition at national / international level to its products. The new Haryana One Block One Product Scheme 2024 will even help in providing market for selling of locally made products.

OBOP on Lines of One District One Focus Product Scheme

PM Narendra Modi has earlier started a similar scheme namely One District One Focus Product Scheme at the national level. This ODOFP Scheme aims to promote business of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) at each and every level. Haryana govt. has gone 2 steps further and is going to launch One Block One Product Scheme instead of One District One Product Scheme.

To promote One Block One Product Scheme further, the state government would take it up at the block level in rural areas as well. OBOP Scheme would be introduced in 140 blocks of the state wherein arrangements for common services, lab testing, packaging, transportation, accountancy will be set up in the cluster itself.

Benefits of One Block One Product Scheme

One Block One Product Scheme will encourage small entrepreneurs working in rural areas and will enable them to compete with large industries. The state government has already given a target to the team of officers constituted with regard to implementation of OBOP scheme. The team had started work on the selection of products by segregating 137 blocks.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed that in the last one year, Haryana’s “One District, One Product” Scheme which is being implemented under MSME, has come up as a model across the country. Moreover, it has been adopted by the Central Government in its budget as well. A similar scheme namely UP One District One Product Scheme is also running in the Uttar Pradesh state under Yogi Adityanath led state government.
