Nari Samman Yojana Registration
To avail the Rs. 2000 per month benefit, women were told they would have to complete Nari Samman Yojana registration, and the form could be downloaded. Former CM Kamalnath made this announcement from Parasia municipality in Chhindwara region of Madhya Pradesh.
This promise was made ahead of the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. The Congress party planned to register at least 50,000 women in every assembly constituency through door to door visits by party workers. However, the party did not win the election, so the scheme was not implemented.
