STEP 2 - Log in with the new account and search for Manodhairya Yojana under Women and Child Development Department services. Open the application form and fill in personal details, incident details and bank account information.

STEP 3 - Attach scanned copies of required documents, such as FIR copy, medical report and Aadhaar card, then submit the form. Application then goes to the District Legal Services Authority for checking and approval under the single window system.

Eligibility for Manodhairya Yojana

Manodhairya Yojana now covers four categories of victims in Maharashtra, after government added a new category through the 2025 revision. There is no income or caste condition to apply, since this support goes to anyone who suffered these crimes within the state. This scheme sits alongside other women empowerment schemes run by central and state governments.

• Women and girls who survived rape or gang rape, including cases where the crime caused mental or physical disability.

Revised Compensation Amount 2026

State government increased base compensation from ₹1 lakh to ₹3 lakh for cases that do not fall under the severe category. ₹10 lakh remains the top amount, given in the most serious cases, meaning death of the victim, permanent mental or physical disability, or gang rape.

For the ₹10 lakh cases, 75% of the approved amount goes into a 10 year fixed deposit in the victim's name, and the remaining 25% gets paid immediately by cheque. This 25% share includes ₹30,000 kept aside for treatment costs. Rules apply the same way across rape, POCSO, acid attack and fire attack cases.
