Haryana government is giving ₹80,000 to poor families for repairing their old houses under Dr BR Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana, and applications are invited online on the Saral Haryana portal. Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes Department runs the scheme.

Grant amount under this scheme was ₹50,000 earlier. It was raised to ₹80,000, and the income rule was widened so that families with yearly income up to ₹1.80 lakh in their Parivar Pehchan Patra can apply. Till February 2026, ₹416 crore had already been paid to 76,985 families in the state.

STEP 3 - In the search box type 'Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran' and click on the Dr BR Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojna service or directly click this online application link.

STEP 4 - Enter your 8 digit Family ID, click on send OTP, and put in the OTP that comes on the linked mobile. Your family members and income details load on their own from the Parivar Pehchan Patra record.

STEP 5 - Fill the rest of the form. This includes your address, caste category, bank account number with IFSC code, details of the house, the year it was built, and a rough estimate of the repair cost.

STEP 6 - Upload the scanned documents, pay the small fee shown on the payment screen, and submit. Save or print the acknowledgement slip. It carries your Saral ID, which you will need later to track the file.

You can also apply offline through Antyodaya Saral Kendra or a nearby CSC center with your papers. The operator there will do it for you. Fee charged at the payment step is small, roughly between ₹10 and ₹30, so go by the amount the portal shows on your screen.

Latest Update on Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said in February 2026 that ₹416 crore has been paid to 76,985 families under this scheme so far. Department now list the income rule as ₹1.80 lakh a year in the Parivar Pehchan Patra, instead of only a BPL card in an SC, Vimukt Jati or Tapriwas Jati family, which was the older rule when the grant was ₹50,000.

Last date of application

Haryana government opens the application window in phases and closes it once the target for that round is full, so keep checking the Saral portal and the department site at haryanascbc.gov.in time ti time. Many BPL families in Haryana now get scheme benefits linked automatically to this same Family ID record.

FAQ's

How much money is given for house repair under this scheme?

₹80,000 is given, and it comes as a bank transfer to the applicant. The amount was ₹50,000 before it was revised.

Can a newly built house be repaired with this grant?

No. The house must be at least 10 years old, must be in the name of the person applying, and must actually need repair. A field officer checks this before the file is cleared.

Is a caste certificate needed to apply?

Only if you are applying under the SC or BC category. The scheme is run by the SC and BC welfare department, but the main filter now is the ₹1.80 lakh income shown in your Family ID.

What if the income in my Family ID is wrong?

Fix it first at meraparivar.haryana.gov.in. The application form pulls income from the Parivar Pehchan Patra record, so a wrong figure above ₹1.80 lakh will block your form right at the eligibility check.

Can two members of the same family apply separately?

No. The grant is given once per family for one house, and the house must be registered in the applicant name. A second application from the same Family ID for the same house gets rejected.
