What is Karnataka Driver Scheme 2026

Karnataka Driver scheme was launched by former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to provide support to drivers of taxi, cab and auto rickshaws. To get the support, eligible people had to complete Karnataka Driver Scheme online registration and each beneficiary got Rs. 5000. The main aim of the scheme was to help people whose business was badly hit after the COVID-19 crisis.

Only those drivers who are residents of Karnataka could get the benefit of the Karnataka Relief Package. The benefits were only for those who were doing driving business in the state. Along with the drivers, other people were also given money through this scheme. Details are given below.

How to Apply to Karnataka Driver Scheme

In this package, a scheme named Karnataka Rupees 5000 Scheme was launched for auto, taxi, cab drivers as well as for barbers (Nai) and Washermen (Dhobis). People could apply online for the Rs. 5,000 scheme at the official website.

To apply for this scheme, first visit the official Seva Sindhu portal at Seva Sindhu Karnataka. After the home page opens, click on the option for "Disbursement of cash Relief of Auto-Rikshaw Driver and Taxi Driver for covid-19". The next page opens the driver registration form. Fill in all the details correctly, click on submit and take out a hard copy of the application form.
