Madhya Pradesh government is running Seed Program in 2026 through the Horticulture and Food Processing Department, and free vegetable seed kits are being given to small and marginal farmers and farm labourers holding a BPL card. Each kit is worth ₹50 and carries seeds of seven common vegetables.
Kits are handed out at the district and block horticulture offices during the sowing season, so families can grow vegetables in a kitchen garden or on a small patch of their field. No online form, no fee, no DBT payment. It is a straight in-kind benefit.
Seed Program Madhya Pradesh Details
Scheme runs under the Horticulture and Food Processing Department of Madhya Pradesh. Main aim is simple: help poor farm families get better food at home and use small pieces of land better. Seed packets include bottle gourd, ladyfinger, beans, bitter gourd, ridge gourd, spinach and cowpea.
As of August 2026, the scheme has not been closed or merged with any other scheme. Distribution keeps happening season by season, based on the stock and target given to each district. So the best step is to ask at your block office before the sowing window starts.

STEP 2 - Ask the officer about the seed kit distribution list for the running season and whether your village is covered in the current target.
STEP 3 - Fill the simple application form given at the counter with your name, village, land details if any, and BPL card number.
STEP 4 - Attach self attested copies of your identity proof, residence proof and BPL certificate, and submit the form.
