UP Widow Pension Scheme 2026: ₹1,500 Monthly Vidhwa Pension, Apply Online & Check List

Uttar Pradesh government's Samajik Kalyan Vibhag runs the UP Widow Pension Scheme (विधवा पेंशन योजना), also known as the Nirashrit Mahila Pension Yojana, to give monthly cash support to widows living in the state. As per the latest announcement, the monthly pension has been raised from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500, and the complete beneficiary list is available on the official website at sspy-up.gov.in. Anyone can access the widow pension Yojana list for the current and previous years very easily.

Under this Vidhwa Pension Yojana, all widow women of any age whose name appears in the India final BPL list are entitled to receive a monthly pension. Eligible candidates can fill the UP Widow Pension Scheme 2026 online registration form, or the beneficiaries can check the pension status and pensioners list at the official website of the social welfare department at sspy-up.gov.in.

Update - CM Yogi Adityanath has announced an increase in the monthly pension for widows from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 under the state's social pension schemes. The funds for this hike have been allocated in the 2026-27 state budget, and the pension is paid directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank account of each beneficiary through DBT. Around 38.50 lakh women currently get the benefit of this destitute pension scheme in the state.

For the financial year 2026-27, the government has made a financial arrangement of more than ₹380 crore for the widow pension scheme. This amount has been made available under a new budget head for using the central share (mother sanction) received from the Government of India. The Women Welfare Department has issued a government order in this regard.

UP Widow Pension List 2026 and Vidhwa Pension Yojana Status

Checking the complete list of UP widow pension scheme beneficiaries or finding your name in the list is very easy. Just follow the simple procedure given below.

STEP 1 - Visit the official Integrated Pension Portal of UP Government at https://sspy-up.gov.in

STEP 2 - The homepage will look similar to the picture given below. Now click on the "निराश्रित महिला पेंशन" tab on the homepage of the website.

STEP 3 - On the next page, click on the "पेंशनर सूची" link to open the pensioner list for the current year.

STEP 4 - Then the UP Widow Pension List District Wise Page will appear as shown below.

STEP 5 - Now click the link under your district "जनपद" to open the UP Vidhwa Pension Yojana List Block Wise.

STEP 6 - Next click the link under block "विकासखण्डं" to open the UP Widow Pension Scheme List Gram Panchayat Wise.

STEP 7 - Next click the link under gram panchayat "ग्राम पंचायत" to open the UP Vidhwa Pension Yojana Village Wise List.

STEP 8 - Then click on the numbers below total pensioners to see the complete list of pensioners in the selected village as well as the payment status as shown in the image below.

STEP 9 - Beneficiary registration number, name, father name, gender, age, category, amount and bank name are completely visible in this list.

Applicants who are enrolled in the Widow Pension Scheme of Uttar Pradesh or those who have recently applied for the scheme can check their name online by following the simple procedure given above. The विधवा पेंशन योजना लिस्ट or Nirashrit Mahila pension report is now available containing the complete district-wise list of pensioners. A similar process is to be followed to check the name in the widow pension scheme list of previous years.

List of Vidhwa Pensioners in UP

All the applicants who have previously applied for the Uttar Pradesh widow pension scheme can check their name in the Vidhwa Pension List UP. This list of pensioners for old age, vidhwa and viklang pension schemes is now available online district, tehsil and village wise at sspy-up.gov.in. The list consists of the name of the pensioner, father's name, category, register number, amount, age, bank details, payment status and other details.

UP Vidhwa Pension Scheme - What is it?

CM Yogi Adityanath said that destitute women (widow pension) used to get an honorarium of ₹300, which was earlier increased to ₹500 by the government. This was further raised to ₹1,000, and now it has been increased to ₹1,500 per month under the new announcement. Earlier, the number of destitute women getting pension in the state was 17.31 lakh, and now the number has increased to around 38.50 lakh.

All the interested and eligible candidates now do not have to make unnecessary visits to the offices. Instead, they can easily apply online to get the benefits of the UP Vidhwa Pension Yojana 2026. This UP government widow pension scheme provides financial support to poor widow women who have not remarried.

Under UP Widow Pension Scheme 2026, all widows of any age get a monthly pension which has been raised to ₹1,500 as per the new announcement made in the UP budget. All the eligible vidhwa women will now get ₹1,500 monthly (earlier ₹1,000) only after completing the process of filling the widow pension application form and approval of the concerned authorities of Samajik Kalyan Vibhag in UP. Moreover, the widow must not be getting benefits of Old Age Pension Scheme, Viklang Pension Scheme or other pension schemes.

UP Widow Pension Scheme Online Application Form 2026

Below is the complete procedure to apply online for the UP Widow Pension Scheme 2026.

STEP 1 - Visit the official Integrated Pension Portal of UP Government at https://sspy-up.gov.in/HindiPages/index_h.aspx

STEP 2 - The homepage will look similar to the picture given below. Now click on the "निराशित महिला पेंशन" tab on the homepage of the website. Or directly click https://sspy-up.gov.in/HindiPages/widow_h.aspx

STEP 3 - In the new window, click the "ऑनलाइन आवेदन करें" link.

STEP 4 - In the next window, the UP Widow Pension Scheme Online Application Form will appear as shown below.

STEP 5 - Here candidates have to fill in all the details and "Save" the details. Next, candidates can click the "Edit Saved Form / Final Submit" option to finally submit the Vidhwa Pension Yojana online application form.

Candidates must physically submit it to the DSWO / DPO / DHWO office within 1 month from the date of final submission.

Time Limit for Application Processing

1. For checking - 45 days
2. Block Development Officer / Sub Divisional Magistrate / City Magistrate - 15 days
3. District Monitoring and Approval Committee - 1 month
4. For sending money through PFMS from NIC - 1 month

It is required for the administration to take a decision within the above fixed time period. Otherwise, the application form will be automatically forwarded or approved after the end of this time limit.

Candidates must also fill in the details of the total number of children (adults and non-adults), the date of death of the husband and whether the children are able to feed themselves or not.

All the applicants can regularly check the status of their filled-in application form on the same official website at sspy-up.gov.in. To check the applicant status, applicants require a password and then make an application login.
