The Startup Promotion Cell (SPC) runs this scheme under the Goa Start-up Policy 2017 for those who finish an approved technical skill program at a Goan educational institute.

The scheme is open for applications throughout the financial year 2026-27. Students who complete SPC-approved courses in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, and Internet of Things can claim this reimbursement.

Skill Development Fee Reimbursement Scheme - Introduction

Skill Development Fee Reimbursement Scheme aims to build technical skills among the youth of Goa. Through this scheme, the Startup Promotion Cell (SPC) reimburses 50% of the course fees, up to a maximum of ₹ 50,000, for students who successfully complete an SPC-approved technical training program in an identified domain at any Goan educational institute.

The scheme is part of the Goa Start-up Policy 2017, which was made to turn Goa into a preferred destination for start-ups. By helping students pay for skill courses, the scheme prepares a trained workforce for the state's growing technology and start-up sector.

Up to 1,000 students can get this benefit every year, and a single student can claim reimbursement for a maximum of two courses in one financial year. The SPC reviews each claim and keeps the final right to accept or reject it.
