Eligibility

To qualify for this scheme, you should meet the following criteria:

1. You must be an individual translator or a registered institution. For example, if Ravi, a freelance translator, wishes to translate a Hindi classic into Gujarati, he is eligible.

2. Your translation must involve Gujarati and another Indian language.

3. You should have written permission from the original author or publisher.

4. Your manuscript must be unpublished and your own original work.

5. You can submit only one application per financial year.

6. Note that if you have already received financial assistance five or more times under Gujarat Sahitya Academy schemes, you are not eligible.
