Madhya Pradesh government is running Reimbursement of Fees of ST Students Studying in Sainik School Private Institutions for tribal students who get admission in Sainik Schools and recognised private schools. Under this scheme, school fees, hostel or accommodation charges and other study costs of eligible Scheduled Tribe students are paid back by the Tribal Welfare Department, so families do not have to arrange this money on their own.
Applications keep moving through the district Tribal Welfare offices and the MPTAAS system at tribal.mp.gov.in, which is the same portal used for most ST student schemes in the state. Students already studying in Class 6 onwards in a Sainik School or an approved private institution can apply with their caste certificate, Samagra ID and admission proof.
Reimbursement of Fees of ST Students Studying in Sainik School Private Institutions
Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Caste Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh runs this scheme. Main aim is simple. Many tribal children clear the entrance test of a Sainik School or get a seat in a good private school, but the yearly fees and hostel charges become too heavy for the family. This scheme pays those costs so the child can continue studying in that same school.
Benefit is given in kind, which means the fee amount is settled or paid back as per the sanctioned rate of the department. It is not a monthly cash scholarship. Approval is done at district level by the Assistant Commissioner or District Organiser of the Tribal Welfare Department.
