PM-YASASVI Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students - Introduction
PM-YASASVI (Pradhan Mantri Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India) is the umbrella scheme under which the Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC, EBC and DNT students is now offered. Earlier this support was given under the old Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC. The Delhi government runs this centrally sponsored scheme through the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC, and all applications are submitted on the National Scholarship Portal.
The scheme helps OBC students complete their pre-matric education without money problems. Selected students receive an academic allowance of ₹4,000 per year for one academic session. The amount is paid directly into the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT.
