North East Skill Centre (NESC) is an international standard vocational training institute set up by Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) in Guwahati, Assam. Available Programs
NESC offers four one year certificate courses, each running for about 1500 training hours. Every course has fixed seats, and the total capacity across all courses is 400 seats.
- Hospitality - Food and Beverage Service: 120 seats, trains students in food and beverage service and hotel operations.
- Retail Service: 120 seats, covers retail selling, store operations and customer service.
- Hospitality - Housekeeping: 80 seats, covers housekeeping, laundry and guest service.
- Beauty and Wellness: 80 seats, trains students in salon and spa procedures along with massage therapy.

Eligibility
Candidates should be between 17 and 25 years of age and must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with English. About 80 percent of seats are kept for residents of Assam, and if seats stay vacant after the first phase, candidates from other states can fill them. A medical fitness certificate from a registered doctor is required at the time of admission, along with basic communication and computer skills.
Exclusions
People below 17 or above 25 years of age, and those who have not passed the 10+2 examination with English, are not eligible. A candidate who cannot provide a valid medical fitness certificate, or who does not meet the attendance and discipline rules, may not be admitted. Admissions are closed once the seats for a course are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Fee Structure
Courses carry a small fee set by the state government, payable in quarterly parts. The fee details for the certificate courses are given below.
- Tuition Fee: ₹16,200 for the year, paid in four quarterly parts of ₹4,050 each. This fee is non refundable.
- Caution Money: ₹1,000, paid once and refundable after the course is completed.
- Pupil Fund: ₹500, paid once and non refundable.

Original documents with self attested photocopies must be shown at the time of admission. This includes the 10+2 passing certificate, proof of age and identity, a medical fitness certificate from a registered practitioner, a character certificate, recent passport sized photographs, and the online fee payment receipt. Candidates must also follow the attendance and grooming rules of the centre.
