Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana - Introduction

Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana is a special part of the larger Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana (MMUY) launched by Department of Industries, Bihar. It is made for female applicants and members of the transgender community who want to become first-generation entrepreneurs.

Under this scheme, a selected applicant can get total help of up to ₹10,00,000 to set up a new manufacturing or service unit. Half of this amount is given as a grant that does not need to be repaid, and the other half is given as an interest-free loan. The scheme also includes required training so that the business stays on the right track.

Eligibility

To apply, the applicant should meet the following criteria. These conditions are checked at the time of selection:

• The applicant should be a permanent resident of Bihar and should set up the unit in the same district where the application is made.
• This scheme is only for female applicants and members of the transgender community.
• The applicant should be aged between 18 and 50 years.
• The applicant should have passed at least 12th, or hold an ITI certificate or a polytechnic diploma.
• The business unit should be registered as a proprietorship firm, partnership firm, LLP, or private limited company.

Application Process

Applications are filled online on the official portal. The registration steps are given below in order:

STEP 1 - Go to the official website at udyami.bihar.gov.in and select the MMUY option under login or registration. On the homepage, the Mukhyamantri Udyami Yojana link is also available under important notices.

STEP 2 - Open the registration form and fill in the Aadhaar number and full details. An OTP will come on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and after entering it the registration is complete.

STEP 3 - Log in to the dashboard using the Aadhaar-linked mobile number and open the application form for Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana.

STEP 4 - Fill in the required details accurately and upload the supporting documents, then review the application before submitting it.

STEP 5 - Download the acknowledgment receipt and keep it safe for future reference.
